Visual Composer not updating

I’m trying to update Visual Composer but it says the following:

Updating Plugin: Visual Composer

Unpacking the update…

Installing the latest version…

Removing the old version of the plugin…

Plugin updated successfully.

Plugin not activated. A higher version of Visual Composer is needed for this theme. Please update the plugin.

Return to Required Plugins Installer

Since Visual Composer is not active, my site looks like an absolute mess.

Hi,

To make sure you are running latest Visual composer available in theme, go to wp-admin -> plugins, de-activate and delete the visual composer, then go to wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins -> install it again, also update updated plugins that have update notification.

Doing this will pull latest available version, instead of updating we delete and install it again the new one

I can’t do that. There is no option to delete the plugin, only Update or Activate. Attempting to update or activate results in the same error I initially posted about.

Check please under wp-admin -> plugins, you should be able to deactivate and delete from there.

Then you will have to install it from wp-admin -> appearance -> install plugins

I have now also done that. I deactivated and deleted the plugin. I’ve now installed it again, but it did not activate because it said there was a newer version available. I tried to update to the new version, but I’m STILL getting the same error that I posted in the initial post.

PLEASE fix this.

Fixed, it should be ok now, update… it, delete it again, and install it, it was a problem on the update server.
