Visual composer not working for WP Editor Role

Hi there.

Would you please assist me in understanding the reason why an user with Editor Role in WordPress cannot edit pages/posts with Visual Composer? This user can see all the options to edit – ‘Edit with Visual Composer, Edit Page’, etc, but when I click on it, just noting happens!

WordPress version: 4.8.2
Visual Composer version: 5.1

Just an additional note: Visual Composer is bundled with Kleo Theme.

Thanks for comming back, and thanks for the link. I’m sorry, but I don’treally understand where exactly to look? I have the settings right, as I had follwed this exact post earlier in July to set up Editor Role. By the way, I even have a query which has been left unansewered since july (from Overalt).

Hi there.

All the options are as per your image. with a single exception – it’s in Visual Composer and not WPBakery Page builder.

Do you still need Kleo admin access? I have changed pwd since Laura assigned to another stream – for security reasons, off course.

Thank you for credentials, but the admin one not works (kleo user).

I’ve tried to reproduce on mine by creating a user with editor role and i’m able to edit with visual composer and also to access wp admin, on your site logged in as editor, when i’m trying to edit a page with VC or to access wp-admin , i’m redirected to the members directory | adorosermulher.com/empreendedoras/ so this seems to be a restriction from a function code in-content/themes/kleo-child/functions.php or by some plugin that allows only admins to view the wp admin.

Try to de-activate all plugins except visual composer and child theme and ccheck again.

Hi,

Just do that it takes 10 seconds to de-activate and 1minute to check and another 10 seconds to activate the plugins back, since you will not loose any plugin setting cuz you de-activate not delete.
