    Hi,

     

    I’ve just downloaded the latest version of Kleo from Theme Forest and updated it, along with the update for Visual Composer. I’m a little bit confused, the documentation that came in the js_composer folder says that VC is version 5.1.1 yet when i go to the WordPress Dashboard and view my plugins, Visual Composer says it is version 5.0.

     

    Is Version 5.0 the correct version for Kleo version 4.2.6? and if so then why does the documentation state differently? sorry, just found it a bit confusing.

    Hi Laura,

    Sorry for my delayed reply. I did try the update option from the dashboard but this didn’t work.

    It asks me for FTP details which is a struggle, the WordPress install is a Bitnami stack so to FTP to it i need to use an SSH connection from my computer to the web server.

    I’d hoped that extracting the latest version of the VC and copying it over the current one would do the update.

    Thanks Laura,

    I appreciate that it would probably be a bit easier to do with a standalone WordPress install. I don’t receive the email notifications when you reply hence my delay in response.

    The support account was set up by my boss, so he receives the emails instead. Is there a way i can subscribe my email address to these tickets so i can get the notifications?

    You was able to update VC? You still have the issue now ? Yes you can add files over the existing ones.

    Only to this tickets it’s not possible just to change the user email address.

    Hi Radu,

    No I have still not been able to upload the files.

    I’m having to upload to a temp directory and then use SSH to connect and move the files where i want to extract them, but it doesn’t update the VC version. I wasn’t sure if the wrong version had been packaged with the theme updates, however there has been another update i think since i posted this. I’ll try updating the theme again to see if that works.

    Hi Radu,

    I’ve just this minute updated Kleo to the new version release 4th July on Theme Forest, i havent checked the visual composer version yet because although WordPress picks up that i have version 4.2.8 of kleo installed, there is a new update to version 4.2.7

    I’ve attached a screenshot. I’ve reset my cache, tried multiple browsers and rebooted my web server.

    Hi,

    If you are not able to update VC go to wp-admin -> plugins -> delete Visual Composer, then go to wp-admin -> install plugins ->

    Now it should be ok running latest version also you need to have Kelements plugin update to latest version.

    Latest Kleo theme version is : 4.2.8

    Latest Visual Composer version is : 5.1.1

    Hi Radu,

    Sorry i thought i had replied to this and marked it resolved. I went for a full reinstall. The JS Composer and the events management plugin i use were conflicting.

    Reinstalling it all seems to have worked. I have another issue, but it is a separate one so i will open a new ticket.
