Vote, Rate, Rank – Best Available Plug-ins for use with BuddyPress in Kleo?

Hi – This goes out to anyone not limited to the team building Kleo.

I am looking for any plug-ins that will work effectively with Kleo to enable voting (thumb up/thumb down), rating (1 thru 5 stars), ranking (1 thru 5 numerical scale) of content – whether a picture, a activity post, a forum post, etc. I have hunted pretty thoroughly and BuddyPress Like Dislike flat out crunches a few parts of Kleo – so that is a nonstarter. I haven’t really found anything that seems effective. If anyone here, or if the Kleo team has any suggestions – that would be invaluable. There are many places where a person could leverage this kind of approach. I’m assuming that there must be some of these components in the SweetDate theme uses but short of hunting through all of the hundreds of forum posts one at a time – it’s pretty hard to find this information.

Thank you in advance for your guidance and suggestions. Kleo is an amazing theme and I’m looking forward to eking out the most value I can from the theme.

Hi, We have tested Buddypress Like plugin and should work fine but as I remember it wasn’t really great built

BuddyPress like is still in dev. The guy who took it over is busy with school. There are several bugs in it, mainly due to how he coded the ajax calls. That was easily fixed, but again, he hasnt finished the plugin.

rtMedia Pro has rating of media built in, but if that’s the only feature you need, out of the many awesome things the pro version does, then the cost doesnt justify it.

Oh for sure it does. I have it running on my site after fixing the ajax calls. But haven’t gotten around to fixing all the other stuff. I’m hoping the dev does it by the time I get to it 🙂

I would like to use this plugin with only summary number information. For example Like(12) Unlike(10), but this plugin show more text. Maybe can anyone help remove unwanted text? We’d have a great plug to like dislike. I can prepare graphically another option.

In my opnion the best one was Buddypress Wall that allow post message in member profile as a status update, and allow you like updates, etc…
Now this plugin is not working with this theme and rtmedia… well, I have no option in this moment..
I’m using ”bbpress like button” but it is just for forums/topics…
Somebody knows a different plugin that is working with this theme?
