ParticipantDon’t know when this changed but when users try to write an activity update and publish it in a group, the system gives a red error message: “There was a problem with your update. Try again.”
This is not the case if outside of a group.
Latest WP and Sweeetdate 2.9.10
Thanks for any ideas.

ParticipantHi Laura,
Sorry I can’t give admin access, but maybe I could make you a user account.
Then when you are a member of a group, you could try to post an update in that group.
The site is in Dutch language only. π
All rather complicated maybe …I think it’s easier that I post screen shots here (private):
Thanks.
ps; couldn’t submit this so I’ll try the pics later

You can use this account:TEST10-3 9U4R699U4R69
Then try to post an update (“Prikbord”) in the group “Muzikanten”
and you gotta see that error.
Then try posting in profile and it will work.Thanks.

ParticipantWell Laura, you are a magician.
I tried again and nope, her it does not work, even with that same account. After Firefox I tried with Safari, again nothing. π
Now I don’t even know where to start looking …
Any idea?
I’m in Belgium btw, and on a Mac with OS 10.11.6 if that could help.
Thanks.August 21, 2017 at 20:19 #171313Laura

ParticipantI tried again to include a screenshot here, but that does not work either.
Are you sure this forum does work with attachments?
I added a file (PNG 21kb) then insert into content then click submit and nothing happens. Now I ‘m beginning to think it must be my computer …
I’ll put the screenshot elsewhere to view …

ModeratorHello, are you using the same user you gave me? as you can see i did post one without issues.
Have you tried with another computer?Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionAugust 22, 2017 at 10:53 #171374Piroo
ParticipantYes I used the same user account.
Now I tried with another computer and still this error comes up.
I think the best I can do is asking a few other users to try it.
Then I’ll come back here later …
Thanks anyway.August 22, 2017 at 13:23 #171396Laura
ModeratorHello, please do, let me know if others have the same issue π

ParticipantHi Laura,
I had people trying it out and they have the same issue indeed.
So, on Mac systems 10.6.8 and 10.11.6 and 10.12 it’s not working.
On older PC Win NT (yeah that’s old) it’s not working either.
That means to me that a lot of people get stuck when trying to do an update in a group.
You are the exception it seems. πAny idea?
Thanks,

ModeratorHi,
Just I’ve tested from MacBook Sierra OS 10.12.4 using CHROME
VIDEO : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxo5b6iHWRMwQXFEZ01Idi01Y3M/view
So as you can see there is no error, maybe you have solved or there it’s an extension that causes that maybe!? try from Chrome Incognito, what error you see in browser console when the error it’s shown?
Cheers

ParticipantHi Radu,
First, please change your last reply to “private”, since I gave permissions for that in private. I don’t want that video seen publicly.
Thanks! Then, the error exists only when going like this:
Try to post an update via βPrikbordβ in topmenu β> in the group βMuzikantenβ
and you gotta see that error.
Outside of a group it works here but not in a group.Best,
PAugust 29, 2017 at 16:25 #172018Radu
ModeratorHi,
Ok, reply marked as private.
Just look at the video: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bxo5b6iHWRMwaUNvV0ozWFJmVm8/view
There is no error and I’m able to post.
Just let me know the exact steps to reproduce that, but make sure to not be caused by some browser extension or by some cache, try from a new browser/computer
Cheers

ParticipantOk Radu,
You actually took another route which does not show the problem.
Please go exactly like this: > In topmenu click “Prikbord” > then you see “Wat is er nieuw, TEST?” and there you put your text > then (important!) underneath select “Muzikanten” > then click “plaats update”
Now you should see a red error message like this: https://www.spiritoo.com/screenshot1.jpg
We all see that, except Laura.
Do you?
It should work on less than the newest OS, right?
Thanks.August 30, 2017 at 17:12 #172108Radu
ModeratorHi,
I was able to generate that error
Just let me know if you de-activate child theme and check if it works.
Just let me know if you de-activate child theme + all plugins except BuddyPress and check if it works.
If you encounter the same, try to use twenty seventeen theme and check again if it happens the same.
We need to check if that issue it’s caused by some plugin or child theme modifications.
Cheers

ParticipantSolved!
After doing all the tests as you wrote, I got the same error until I used the Twenty Seventeen theme.
But … then I found that I did not have the latest BP version β this was postponed by me because some time ago Sweetdate was not mentioned as compatible with that BP version at that time on the Envato product page.
So myself to blame.
Sorry and thanks for the outstanding support!August 31, 2017 at 18:14 #172239Radu
ModeratorHi,
Great if you have solved
