Hi –
A website I’m developing has been running extremely slow since installing the Kleo theme, and I can’t quite pinpoint what’s causing this.
I had BBpress, buddy press, and Geodirectory, as well as about 10 other plugins installed before changing my theme to Kleo, and the site was running OK speed-wise.
After turning on the Kleo theme and installing the recommended plugins, the website hangs for several minutes sometimes before a page will load. I find the first page load is usually not too slow, but the more I navigate around the site the slower it seems to get.
The other strange thing I’m noticing is that within /wp-admin/ – the pages load extremely slowly as well. Updating plugins takes several minutes sometimes (plugins that would normally take a few seconds to update), and simply loading pages in the back-end can take up to a minute, especially if I’m navigating the front-end of the site at the same time.
I have a couple of other small dev sites on the server that load very quickly, so I know it isn’t the server itself that is being overloaded (I’m renting a dedicated VPS, not shared hosting).
