WordPress Installation Issue

I cant upload the sweetdate.zip file – it just timeouts when uploading through install themes in wp. I purchased sweet date, unzipped the file, have tried uploading sweetdate.zip through wordpress, install themes, but it just keeps timing out.

Have uploaded through ftp also, but doesnt show in backend to activate it.

Can someone please help, this is pretty frustrating.

Hi,
If you upload the theme by FTP you need to put the theme unzipped files into the wp-content/themes folder
Follow the documentation guide. Unzipped files should have the style.css in that folder.

You should talk at your hosting company to increase the php timeout. This can’t be a theme problem.
