    Working with sweetdate-child theme

Hi, I have installed sweetdate and sweetdate-child themes and set the Sweetdate Child as the active theme. In my server directory, the child theme is pretty much empty compared to the parent theme. I can’t find the equivalent of this file wp-content/themes/sweetdate/registration/register.php in the child directory. I would like to slightly modify this file but I want to be able to keep changes when the theme is updated. How do I go about this? Where do I work on? Where is or how can do I recreate wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/registration/register.php so I can work on it and how do I ensure that updates will not override my changes?

    Thanks

Hello, yes, the child theme should be quite empty, to modify a file in child theme, just create the path folders of the file and paste the original file inside, then edit it.

Example: create a folder with the name “registration”
Copy the register.php file from the main theme and paste it inside the new folder of child theme.
Begin editing, now that file will be used instead of the main theme one
Do that using your cpanel file manager or ftp
