    Hello,

I have already tested for a plugin conflict, nothing. I am stuck.. Here is my case: When a user trys to log in with an incorrect password, instead of an alert about the wrong credentials he gets redirected to /wp-login.php. And more strangely, although this URL exists (http://spiritberlin.org/wp-login.php) the redirect does not work: An empty page appears with the error description “err_empty_response”.

Could you assist me to resolve this one?

    Best,

    Jacob

The problem is your server cache. I’ll respond privately with the error.

    Dear Sharmstr,

Thanks a lot, it is resolved. The server support says the following:
“Okay. So it looks like this actually isn’t going to be a caching issue. It’s a login protection issue. One form of our login protection is bringing up the No Data Received page with the incorrect login attempts. I removed that piece of things and I no longer see that error page.
11:23 pmI can add it back in if you prefer, but we do have other login protection measures in place.”

It was a piece of code by WP engine.

May I kindly ask which good value server solution you suggest for buddypress? I actually dont know where to ask this correctly.

    Yours,
    Jacob

Honestly, I’ve only used GoDaddy (for a short period. the worst!) and siteground. I’m pretty happy with Siteground. It seems like the two best choices out there are either WPEngine (though a lot of what they do screws things up) and Siteground. There’s discussions about it on the bp forums.

All right, thank you for your hint. I am on wpengine, but although on some locations the website loads quickly, others seem to make the website loading very slow. http://www.spiritberlin.org

I thought I should consider a provider switch. But as you recommend wpengine, I will dig deeper.

Thanks a lot for your support and of course for your great theme!
