Great guide! I loved being able to see which plugin was dragging it down, as yes, I agree with the logic – it shouldn’t be the theme or the server!

It was WP-Statistics, which i had installed recently as well. I never would have suspected it without doing the plugin scan your guide suggested!

    nice work.

I’m not back to under 2 second load times!

    What a horrid plugin! lol

This has fixed the visual errors. Only problem now, that with all these updates to the theme and plugins, my site load time has more than doubled (using Query Monitor as the measuring tool).

One of the things I loved about Kleo when I first installed it was its speed.

    🙁

Note it works in Chrome but not Safari.

Something has changed on the Safari end of things…

So can I assume Laura that I’m not going to get any help here?

So in terms of the black background of the menu on iOS – that’s only on my home page as I imported one of the demo pages (home default). And it has a ‘transparent’ menu on the desktop but seems to go black on iOS. So that’s not cool. Is there a way to make it default back to grey if transparency doesn’t work?

The font issue – is because I specifically turned on ‘block custom web fonts’ in 1Blocker. Whilst that may be slightly less common, there should be a way to have a fallback option when the custom web fonts are blocked. I go to many other sites with content blockers on and they’re not back to some horrible Times New Roman font, that’s why it stuck out in this theme.

My remaining issue is still relevant though with no answer – Menu Icons are not appearing when you place the menu in a sidebar as a “Custom Menu” widget.

Also – why won’t the icons appear in sidebar widget custom menus?
