Hi Laura, on the Dashboard there is a Forum Wide search bar Settings>Forum as in pic.
Which then has a forum search on the main page, then in sub-topics, then in the thread.
There use to be an option under SweetDate Dash irrc that use to be at the BuddyPress Plugin Hook where the search bar was just on the Main page of the Forum.
Main reason was on mobiles the formatting got a little cramped with the serch bar on every page. Thanks!Attachments:

Any thoughts on the Forum search bar only for Main forum?
And what is ‘Buddypress Plugins Hook’ option under SweetDate>BuddyPress?
mbfitParticipantmbfitParticipantI know that if I go to Settings>Forums there is an option to select Allow Forum wide search unfortunately that gets tacked on all the created pages which creates extra work in the formatting…
mbfitParticipantHello, yes it is on Forums>Groups(second last of the topics)> then all the sub topics which in this case are User created Groups with the option to create a Forum.
mbfitParticipantYes! Thank you it works. Was there anything specific you did to add that back?
Thank you so much for being so persistent with it. Same with the search bar was that added into the css? I ask because I have another site that I later wish to work on as well and it would be good to note the issue for the future. Many thanks! Also not sure where you turned off cache?
mbfitParticipantThat is a search function I have not seen before. Is there a way to keep that as an option as well? Perhaps under the horizontal form? But that form is however a priority to get back…
mbfitParticipantHello but that isn’t the Buddy Press Horizontal Search Form. That isn’t a functioning form for one to search city and age etc>
mbfitParticipantHello, that’s great thank you so much!! I will close the other topics as well. Thanks Laura!
mbfitParticipantOne thing is though a whole ton of stuff seems to be fixed and looks really good. Since I asked a few other questions on the forum I just need to figure out what I need to save in the theme so I don’t over write when I upload some of my other changes to the child theme. At this point some things I may not need to change so I will have to be mindful of what I upload back.
mbfitParticipantIf so did you only alter the css file? I just want to be sure before I upload my other files to the child theme and I don’t want to over write..
mbfitParticipantOh wow did you already add this? It seems everything is done including the other support threads I created such as the Profile Buttons…

mbfitParticipantOk further testing with different profiles I realize those are the alerts to messages and notifications
mbfitParticipantNo Widgets are back. Site seems to bug out from time to time it’s weird. Sometimes posts disappear and then reappear later.
mbfitParticipantI am running off the default Parent and Child theme without anything altered/added. I had run this with plugins removed except the Buddypress, bbpress, rtmedia, revslider. Currently now though plugins for security are reactivated as well as an Underconstruction plugin because my forum was attacked so I want to keep activated for the time being. Thanks
mbfitParticipantYou can see later down the road in Activity it starts to get cramped

Members page has no options for search.
mbfitParticipantDid not work. It reset the BuddyPress options and I had to reset. Right now it is running off the parent and formating like font sizes is whacked and rev slider wallpaper was removed when doing theme options. I uploaded a pic to show where I did the theme option save and then the purge all

However clicking back between Activity and Groups hides them again. You can see the bad formatting of the images to the left.

I just wanted the basic functions and about the content that will be created for the site and now I fear I’m another month+ out and need help just to get the basics back…
mbfitParticipantClicking to view a members media tab links to a broken page.
