The plugins do NOT address the specific changes we need – I know because I spent most of the day trying them out. We want the dropdown buddypress menu to stay and remove the login, register and WP link – which none of the plugins do. We tried more than a dozen and the majority focus on customizing the admin menu for the logged in user, within the dashboard.

And no, I am not asking you to do it. We’ll hire someone else to do it.

And there is no way to make a link to the drop down BP menu that is native to the WP admin bar that we have found so far.

I am referring to the Kleo option of “TOPBAR” which can be turned on or off in the options panel. This is NOT the same as the menus that you can create in the appearance section of WordPress.

Please see the screenshot attached to see what we are talking about – we want to remove the WordPress login since it is not relevant to anything – and the login/register links since it goes to the default WP pages – not the BP pages. It’s the top black bar, and can be turned on and off in the Kleo options.

I see no way to change this menu in Appearances – and we have tried everything that we have found in Google but it does not affect your particular ‘TOPBAR”

unfortunately, I don’t think that this will work as I have to actually set a default return URL in the DAP settings for each membership level.

A workaround would be to turn the admin ‘top bar’ on – but I do not want the login/register and WordPress links in the admin bar – is there a way to remove those and simply leave the link to the member dropdown menu in the top bar?

Hi Everyone –

Great thread! We love KLEO and are close to launching our new community site: http://www.TheBiz.Zone. Think of it as a LinkedIn for Entrepreneurs – with fewer rules and no fees 😉

Still a couple of kinks to work out (that’s why there are 2 login/register links right now – trying to configure a membership plugin with affiliate tracking) but hope to launch it next week.
