Sorry, I had not selected the option “Allow registered members to upload cover images” on page ..
Settings –> Buddypress –> Settings
Sim2KParticipantNo error, the screen darkens and you get a spinning icon and it just spins and spins.
Also text in “Footer Text” section is white an cant be read. You can only see it if you select all text in that form box, then you can see it.Sim2KParticipantHello sharmstr
Thanks for the comment.
I see I don’t have the latest version. I thought I did. WP normally tells me when there is an update of Kleo and I update within WP. I did that earlier but it looks like it didn’t update me with your latest version.
What’s the best way to update the theme manually?
Sim2KParticipantSim2KParticipantOh, thanks! Must say, this is the best theme I’ve every worked with and I’ve brought quite a few up until I brought this one, then my spending as stopped. This theme does everything.
Sim2KParticipantCan you turn this into an option that you can turn on or off in the theme settings? Myself and a few others want this.
Sim2KParticipantHello Abe
Thats not it either. I know about that and have that setup.
I want to protect a link that is created by a plugin/any plugin. The example I gave is …
http://jamrockpeeps.com/simeon2k/profile/edit/group/2/
… and that link is created automatically by Buddypress. That links to the 2nd tab when a user updates their profile. Now the base/1st tab for updating their profile is ok for all to access, but I want to protect the link to the 2nd tab. This way, only people from a specific member level can load the link to that tab to edit their details on the 2nd tab. If you don’t have access to that level, you can’t access that link to that tab.
Hope this makes more sense, this is why I am asking, how can I protect any link using PMPro as there are some plugin generated pages that I want to allow for only members of a certain level.
I used to use s2members and that could do it and I have heard that PMPro can do it too.
Sim2KParticipantHey Sharmstr
THANKS for the help!
I had created a test site here –> http://test.jamrockpeeps.com/ to give access to you to have a look around but you have already given me the answer! Thanks, and it works! Check it here …
http://test.jamrockpeeps.com/me/simeon2k/
Thanks again! Will drop the code on the LIVE site. Might have to create a child site now to keep that one line of code. Bit irritating. It worked before, wonder why it doesn’t work now. Anyway, thanks!
In answer to your previous question, I have hacked the “PMPro User Pages” plugin. When someone registers, it creates a page for each user under their user name and sets that user as the owner. So the new member now has one page they have ownership of. That page is then set as a child of a page called “Me”.
I then create a page showing all the child pages of the page “Me” using a plugin to do this. I also use another plugin which allows the member to see a list of all their pages they own, which is just one, at the front end. They can then edit that front page through the front end. This allows the user to have their own personal page on the site that they can do anything too. They can also upload a featured image from the front end and thats what I wanted to use for the top of their page.
Just looking for a way now that they can add background colours or backgrounds to their personal page.
Thanks again for your help.
Sim2KParticipantThats a bit sad …
Tried a permalink refresh twice, but no go. It happened after i updated the website.
Sim2KParticipantIf you need access, I can grant you access ….
Is there a private messaging on here ??
Sim2KParticipantI know how to do that, thats easy ..
OK let me be more specific, how so I protect this pages link …
http://jamrockpeeps.com/simeon2k/profile/edit/group/2/
… ?? As you will see, its not a standard page created by me, but its a page automatically created by Buddypress, not me. So how do I protect that link so only members with a certain level can update that part of their profile??
Thats what I am asking about protecting a link, not a page created by me, so how do I protect that page link???
Sim2KParticipantIf you go here …
… you will see that 2 pages out of the 8 have had featured images added to them but when you load one of those 2 pages, you can’t see the featured image showing on the page.
It worked before I updated.
