Add 'likes' to group posts

How can I add the likes feature to all group posts? As of now you can ‘favorite’ them but you cannot ‘like’ them as well….

By posts do you mean forum posts or activity posts? Either way you’ll need a plugin for that.

Hi sharmstr! Thanks for the reply, and all of your help on here.

I mean, when someone posts to a group…I need there to be functionality for people to ‘like’ the post. I’m using it as a sort of voting system…most likes wins.

At somepoint while setting my site up I was able to change what the ‘like’ system said…but I cant find it anymore. Is there no way to do so in the kleo theme or buddypress itself?

“Likes” are only for blog posts. You can find that in Theme Options – Blog

Thanks sharmstr, but I need this to remain unresolved until they add it to the theme…or it will fade into the darkness…

Unless you know if a plugin that would do this as smoothly as the kelo blog version…

If you leave this topic unresolved hoping that it will get added eventually, it probably will get lost. Add it to feature requests and it wont. https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/kleo-features-requests/page/4

And from experience I can tell you that this is not an easy add. Once you add it there, people will expect to be able to show the number of likes, who liked it and give you the ability to unlike it… oh yeah, they will probably want notification of the like as well. That’s why there is only one plugin out there that does this and it doesnt work very well.
