Create sign in and register button

Hi, just a little help needed. I have created a button that is in the center of my home page for users to sign up. i want to be able to create a popup sign up or login button like the original one. Is there code for this i can get? i dont want it to be in the menu like the original theme but in the form of a button. and also if they are signed in the button will no longer dislplay “sign up” or “log in” but display log out
