So, PLEASE! Think free solutions, like Polylang, WPGlobus (well plugin have two versions: free and Pro), qTranslate X (8 months outdate… but…).

I need to know Whats string do you use for this area and BuddyPress Profile Fields… etc.

Just I’ve found this on google: https://qtranslatexteam.wordpress.com/multilingual-fields/ and I’ve tested and it works! You should enter the fields in this syntax (see screenshot) /

Also you will be needed to replace the content of this file from sweetdate parent: /wp-content/themes/sweetdate/custom_buddypress/class-bp-tabs.php

with this one : http://pastebin.com/raw/zuE6E2EJ

This will take care of translation for the strings on profile.

This fix will be included in future updates

For this reason, check others alternatives: polylang and wpglobus.

Name appears without change, [:es]Nombre[:][:en]Name[:]

And remember please, adapt this code for WpGlobus also. WpGlobus works with: {:en}text{:} also qTranslate.

I put your pastebin and your functions code, but not work with WpGlobus.
Your Code work only with qTranslate.

The problem is, my friend, that qTrans is outdate! And maybe, it was abandoned.

So, Please, make your code compatible with WpGlobus also.

I see your point of view but understand for the moment there is no quick solution for making the wp globus to work, you can use the q translate x I the current version isn’t vulnerable.

wpglobus-translate-options

I don’t know why but not work for this fields.

Wpglobus works right with others, because .mo, .po.

So, this areas needs tr strings (bp x profile fields also).

Well, reading this (LINK) is saw that wpglobus options is not that simple to use.

The plugin developer says that WPGLOBUS does not translate these custom text fields because the fields do not have strings that indicate translation. In the MAIN FORM does not work:
{: en} text {:} {: en} text {:}
Nor does that work for BP custom fields.

And I know this is more work for you, but, when you can, please make translatable those areas.

For the rest, the plugin can translate 90%

What can’t I translate? Custom profile fields.

For example: Group – Base / Looking for: Everyone
(of course it can translate Man or Woman because these words are in the .po, but, not custom words added)
