I’ve been using Loco translator, but I don’t know where to apply my new language to the theme.(I should translate the child theme or the mother theme?)
Thanks for the help!
September 14, 2015 at 19:13 #77607RaduModeratorHi,
When you go to loco translate panel http://localhost/dev/wp-admin/admin.php?page=loco-translate ( replace localhost with your domain ) then look for KLEO ( Parent Theme ) press -> add new language -> create in global languages directory -> Start translation.
That’s all, you will need to translate the desired strings.
Best Regards
Radu
Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionOctober 23, 2015 at 08:16 #83826drdncParticipanti translate everything but it works only on website. Admin panel theme options section still eng.
October 23, 2015 at 18:39 #83885RaduModeratorHi,
For the moment this is little buggy,
It works to translate only if you are using the parent theme ( not child ) and you cannot translate the redux related words like : ON,OFF
We are working on that and maybe on next update this issue will be fixed.
Sorry for inconvenience.
Best Regards

Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionNovember 5, 2015 at 22:20 #85803JessicaParticipantHello,
My goal is to translate the entire WordPress/BuddyPress/WooCommerce setup into Japanese.
1. My WordPress language is set to Japanese under Settings > General > Site Language.
2. My WooCommerce language is set to Japanese under WooCommerce > System Status. These two settings above are working perfectly.
My next step is to change the language for KLEO/BuddyPress.
1. I’ve installed the Loco Translate plugin, and I see that KLEO is currently available in 36 languages including Japanese. How do I find out/change the theme settings so that KLEO will be displayed in Japanese?
2. According to the Loco plugin, I saw that Bulgarian was the only language listed under BuddyPress (see Loco translate BuddyPress section.png). So I downloaded the PO and MO files from the official Japanese BuddyPress page, and uploaded them to my server under the wp-content/languages/plugins (see PO and MO file location.png) directory, as advised by Loco Translate. (However, Loco Translate apparently did not detect the files even after multiple reloads of the page.) I refreshed the page, but the majority of my website is still in English (see BuddyPress not translated.png). How do I find out/change the settings so that the BuddyPress PO/MO translations are effective in KLEO?
Thank you!
Jessica
– There is no language setting under Settings > BuddyPress

Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionFebruary 3, 2016 at 16:04 #101846RaduModeratorHi,
Regarding the translation of bp group documents the issue was caused by location of language files, i’ve changed the location of lang files from wp-content/languages/ to wp-content/plugins/bp-group-documents/languages for some reason the translation for this plugin works with lang files in that location.
REgarding the problem with comment button, translate it from kleo in loco trasnslate

I am trying to translate rtmedia, and half phrases are translated half not.
ftp and login deatils as in previous posts.Attachments:
You must be logged in to view attached files.February 7, 2016 at 23:01 #102561AndreiModeratorThose translations comes from the rtMedia so If you say half of it’s translations aren’t done, please go over the ones you need and translate them with the help of Loco Translate plugin.
If you encounter any issues related to the rtMedia plugin I strongly recommend you to contact them, maybe it’s an issue from their side.
Also be very carefully with your caching systems, please double check that you have cleared any cacheing systems that you might have active after you’ve made changes to the translations.

Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionFebruary 7, 2016 at 23:38 #102577szmek9ParticipantIt’s my 127th post here. I know there is Loco Translate. There is general problem with translating plugins, and I guess maybe your theme is blocking the translation. Can someone treat me seriously and really look into my problem or do I have to open hundreds of new topics with translations issues ?
February 7, 2016 at 23:43 #102579AndreiModeratorOur theme doesn’t interfere in no way with plugins at translation level, at least not with the plugins for which we’re not overriding any template files, that’s why if you have any issue translating a certain plugin you should better contact it’s author which is responsible of making it’s translations work.
Your issues are always treated with seriousness but please understand that we’re doing all we can and sometimes there are things that doesn’t depend of us to work.
Thanks for your understanding.
Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionFebruary 7, 2016 at 23:48 #102581szmek9ParticipantThan tell my why I still can’t translate some phrases from Your theme? Like I described it in this topic. It’s just annoying that you seem to ignore the issue of translation, and seem to not understand that it looks stupid when some phrases are english and some in other language.
https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/comment-button-in-activity-break
February 7, 2016 at 23:53 #102582AndreiModeratorWe’re not ignoring anything, please trust me, but there are lots of plugins that add pieces of functionality and that’s how translations are made, andy for translating one single page for example you might need to deal with several plugins and their translate methods, files and issues.
We’re doing all we can, but again, the comment button comes from buddypress plugin which should work.
I’ll ask a colleague to go trough your topic and address all translation related issues, in order to determine if it’s something from our side so we can fix them.
Thanks for your patience and understanding.
Cheers
