Hello, this is a guide about how to translate the Theme and Buddypress.
How to translate the Theme and Buddypress?
We suggest using Codestyling Localization plugin, but another that edits .mo /.po files would work. For this guide, we will use Codestyling Localization.Plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/codestyling-localization/
0. Activate the plugin
1. Enter Localization From Tools Menu
2. Look for Sweetdate or any other plugin you want to translate.
3. Follow the screenshots to Scan The files, then Edit button.
4. Find the word you want to translate.
5. Click edit and translate it
6. Save your translation.
7. Save the file using GENERATE MO-FILE.FAQ
1. Memory Limit error appears!
The translation plugins shows the error because maybe you have a memory limit, we can try a code, but if your hosting doesnt allow it, you should talk to them.Try adding this to wp-config.php
COPY CODEdefine(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’96M’);
If not, try this in .htaccess (if you can see it)
COPY CODEphp_value memory_limit 64M
If nothing changes then talk to your host.
2. Weird Symbols appearing?
This is something coming from your database, try this http://blogsuccessjournal.com/blog-tips-and-advice/wordpress-tips/seeing-weird-characters-on-blog-how-to-fix-wordpress-character-encoding-latin1-to-utf8/ or contact your hosting provider3. Some Warnings appearing around the site?
It may be an error with some translations, or another issue, but as they are just warnings, we can just hide them if we dont find a way to fix them.To hide them:
Try adding this to your wp-config.phpCOPY CODEerror_reporting(0); @ini_set(‘display_errors’, 0);

For instance I took buddypress to add a translation.
The translations file can be saved at two places. Original or global.X create in plugins/buddypress
X create in global languages directory languages/plugins/The first one will be overwritten when a plugin updates and the second one will not. (You want your custom work to stay, off course.)
However when you choose the second one, there will be two POT files and WP will choose the first one available, the plugin one. So check that out.
To force WP to choose the “custom” global one, you simply rename the original one for instance buddypress.no or similar.
Now the global one will be found first, and thus be used.After an plugin update you need to “sync” to throw out obsolete and new translation positions.
I hope this helps for anyone

I just used this plug in”Transposh”(link below). It would translate everything on your page. And you can custom the words yourself. Try it and correct me if I’m wrong.https://wordpress.org/plugins/transposh-translation-filter-for-wordpress/installation/

When Loco translation, Transposh and Codelocation translationsplugins wont react, what to do then?
No post have been usefull in this supportforum, nothing changes.
