I can confirm that this is also happening to me as well. When logging in the “sending info please wait” then ” You are already logged in. Please refresh page” which does not redirect to the page selected in s2member

In the case of S2 members when I log in with membre1tennis somehow the wp-login.php page is restricted since the request comes with a 302 redirected to your home page. Do you have a restriction on wp-login.php?

I have done some changes to the login code so it doesn’t send the request to wp-login and to send it to your home site url and this way any restriction by any plugin won’t apply.
KLeo 3.0.2 will be released today with this fix

If I think again I won’t include it in 3.0.2 since I want to test it a bit more and I will provide you the file here with the change so you can test it and let me know how it works. You should change the content from functions.php with the content from the file attached.

Hi Abe,

Not sure if you’ve had a chance to test the login situation on my site yet? or just the others?… as mine doesn’t redirect to wp-login.php as you mentioned above, it’s just the original issue with the popup login not functioning correctly and not redirecting.

@5high-photohub yes I tested on your site and somehow the wp-login.php gets redirected on the ajax request. Have you tried with the new file?

Abe,

I updated the function.php however it did not resolve the redirect issue.

– It still shows the login box with the refresh option

– Upon refresh it stays on current page user logged in from (typically home page) instead of redirecting

Hi Abe,

OK, I’ve tested it with the current Kleo functions.php (v 3.0.3) and then also swapped it for the functions.php info in your file as above. Unfortunately no change. It logs you in correctly and redirects as expected for users with admin rights, but still not for non-admin users. So for them it still says, ‘you’re already logged in, refresh page’ etc, then when refreshed it takes you to the same page you were on originally. So now change.

I’ll put it back to the latest 3.0.3 version for now, but am happy to test other versions for you.

Abe, just wondered if you’d been doing any testing on our site in the last day or so? as I now have a blank (‘white screen of death’) in our wp-admin area. The frontend looks and works OK, just no access to the wp admin end. Or do you know if there’s been an auto update of wordpress that might have triggered it?
Thought I should check the obvious before I do anything major on the site.

The redirect issue is still happening in 3.0.4

The login box with the refresh option is still showing and once a member hits the refresh button it stays on the page they login at instead of the page designated in S2.

we are still doing some tests with the s2 plugin.. the thing is that the plugin does not use default wordpress redirect logic … and we need to make a change so it will work with s2 plugin too..

Thanks Abe, I know it seems a pain for something so small, but we find that lot of our members have problems logging in using the standard wp-login page as we have a CAPTCHA code on it, and it’s easy to mistype when using smaller devices. (I have the link to the wp-login page as the main login menu link to currently avoid the issue of the non-redirect issue.)

I just updated to 3.0.5, and this issue remains. I was thinking there was a fix for this in that release, but I mistakenly took “Fix remember me on ajax login” in the changelog as being for this issue.

Let me know if there is anything I can do as far as mentioning something over on the S2 support desk. Otherwise, I’ll just hope for a fix here soon, as I am getting negative feedback from users on functionality.

Hi there, I had this same issue with kleo/s2member. I read from beginning til I updated 3.07 and its fixed that redirect to welcome page (set welcome in s2member setting). cheer! Great job Abe!

Seems to work great. Tested in all three browsers I use. Had a little issue at first as it worked in Chrome and IE, but not FF. Once I cleared cache there all is fine.

Thanks for another great update. I’m still finding cool new features months into using this theme. I’m continually blown away by the theme and your support. Thanks!
