Hello,
Long ago I had this issue that the matching circle didn’t show, so I added the ‘BP Match plugin’. But then the percentage starts from 5, and I really would like it to start from 50 %. So I tried to deactivate BP Match and activated Profiles Matching in Theme Options. Since the upgrade of Sweetdate with Elementor when I did everything from scratch practically, I thought it would now work. But it didn’t. So I guess something might be wrong with my settings in Theme Options as I have exported the settings there and imported it after the upgrade. But I have no idea what it could be. The colors of the matching circle – is there any setup for it somewhere??Would be greatful for your help…
Thanks

October 6, 2018 at 19:24 #211222Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
Your matching is working but you have some custom CSS that is hiding it. I have removed the below custom CSS and accompanying note from WP Admin > Theme Options > Styling Options > Quick CSS and it is now visible to me on the front end. Clear your browsers cache (Ctrl+F5) whilst viewing a profile to see the changes
COPY CODE/* HIDE MATCHING SWEETDATE MATCHINGCIRCLE */ .circular-item { display: none; }
Thanks,
Kieran

October 6, 2018 at 19:51 #211223OceanglimParticipantOf course! Thanks, Kieran – forgot about that!
Now I remember….the issue wasn’t that it was invisible. The issue was and is still, that it only shows 50% to all members. I know for example that Admina and Admin has similar hobbies and should match to about 90 % , but they match 50%….Everybody match 50 % regardless of how the profile fields are filled in.
October 6, 2018 at 20:14 #211224Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
I checked your settings in Theme Options > Profile Matching and you’ve not configured this area correctly. The values for starting, complimentary and other fields must total 100. Currently your value is 160, adjust the values to total 100 depending on your need. I would recommend a lower starting value so that you get better matches.
For information on how to set this section up please check the setup guide and scroll to ‘BP Profile Tabs & Matching’.

October 6, 2018 at 21:00 #211225OceanglimParticipantOh, thank you!
I have a thought….When a user who has filled in his/her profile fields, and search for another user and this user has not filled in the profile fields…then the matching result will be the start percentage. But the user doesn’t understand that. So if the matching result shows 50% or even lower, the user might think that they don’t match.
Is there a way to not show the matching circle if either of the two has not filled in their profile fields??
Or what do you think about this?October 6, 2018 at 21:14 #211226Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
I see what you mean with the psychology of a number below 50% and if needed you can keep the value of 50% as is, but this will give you a maximum of 50 percent to assign between the other fields, making matching on those few fields more intense.
The code itself is very complex and to exclude the matching if X isn’t met would be a custom job for a developer and may lead to confusion for users.
If this is something you’re interested in extending you can always reach out to our developers who would be happy to discuss your custom development. They can be reached by emailing dev@seventhqueen.com
Thanks,
Kieran

October 6, 2018 at 21:28 #211227OceanglimParticipantThank you Kieran!
Okay, now I have tried all kind of settings, but it still ends up to whatever I set for starting percentage :(.
October 6, 2018 at 23:51 #211232Kieran_SQModeratorHi,
Your starting field is still 50, the remainder is therefore 50. Out of the remaining 50 you have assigned 100. All 3 fields count towards the 100.
For example you have
Starting 50
Complementary fields percentage 10
Other fields 40 + 20 + 20 + 5 + 5Where as it should be something like
Starting 50
Complementary fields percentage 10
Other fields 10 + 10 + 5 + 5 + 5 + 5Kieran

October 7, 2018 at 00:41 #211234OceanglimParticipantYes, I know…I tried that. But it didn’t help. I tried, 30 starting, Complementary fields percentage 10 and then 60 for hobbies.
