Multi-select box not working properly?

I have exactly the same issues as the people at KLEO theme have, where multi select box will only save the last result. I tried adapting the fix provided in that post but the code for KLEO does work in allowing it to save all the chosen values, but it messes with the formatting of the Sweetdate theme.

Is there a fix for sweetdate?
