Prevent footer from display in middle of page when not enough page content

Hi,

How can I prevent the footer from display higher than bottom of page when there is not enough content in the page?
I am not looking to fix the footer at the bottom, just to set it to display at least at the bottom of the screen of the device it is displayed on (if there isn’t enough content on the page), or lower at the bottom of the page content if there is enough content to fill in the screen height or more.
