Profile cover image?

Hi

I have my profiles set with a right hand column. When I upload a cover photo it suggests uploading a photo ‘over 1400 by 440″.

If I do that (1400×440) or even if I upload a photo much smaller, the cover image does not respect the proportions of the uploaded file, giving me a heavily zoomed and subsequently cropped version of the cover. It also loses the nice avatar overlay on the cover image, and the username like the default.

 

I would really like to upload cover images nicely without them being resized or cropped unnecessarily, and without losing the avatar overlay etc.

Please can you tell me if there is a way to do this?

I was sure I had marked this as resolved with an explanation?

So anyway, this support ticket is not valid because it turns out there was another cover photo plugin that was not working, it’s not your plugin.

However I do have another issue with the profile page, in that I would like the cover to look like the profile page in the Kleo demos: https://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/members/kleoadmin/

But I don’t know how to configure that? My profiles look like this (attached).

I can’t see any way of importing the profile page from the demo data.

Also while I’m here – the info overlay on the cover is showing my admin username instead of my ‘show publicly’ username?

Hi AdamK,

For having full width cover profile go to wp-admin -> theme options -> buddypress-> set on for Enable Full width Profile Header and additionaly for the groups the same.

For change profile display name use this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-real-names/
