using FancyBox with Kleo theme

Hi all,
I like to disable the builtin image viewer and use the WP plugin FancyBox instead.
FancyBox works, but in the background the image is shown fullsize with the (simple) kleo viewer, and I have to close the image twice. Is there any trick for that?
