Thank you. However, the primary problem I have – is related to your theme.
I dont necessarily want the author link to go to a custom url – as I said, I have a plugin for that. Im simply wanting the author link (as displayed in the post meta information) to NOT go to the authors buddypress profile.

for example, now – the author meta information, points to /members/username
Im wanting the author meta information to instead use the_author to point to /author/name

I wasnt sure exactly how deep the coding was for this, whether it could simply be changed with a function reference, or if I would just need to change each link on each page, for each link, that I wanted to revert back to the default wp method of displaying author page links.
