Radu,
Yeah, I finally figured this one out. Only with the logo stuff, but pretty much I just had to wait. The issue was also that changes to CSS and the logo image would take effect at different times. Eventually I realized I was seeing the new image, but with CSS settings from 2 attempts previous and vice versa.
The odd thing is that the logo area is the ONLY part of the site where clearing/flushing cache doesn’t seem to handle it immediately. It’s like the changes need time to load or something. Anyway, that’s not so much an issue to resolve as something to keep in mind. It’s just unexpected since either changes pretty much come through instantly.
I still need to work on a couple of my lower priority items from the beginning of this, but I think we’re good here!
Thanks for all your help!

fyrgolfParticipantRadu,
First one got it! Thanks! I think we finally got this one figured out.
There was an outstanding item that I left because #1 was more important: item 8, logo and header size. See the attached screenshot demonstrating that logo updates changes aren’t working through the Sweetdate portion of the UI.
If my logo is not controlled by the logo section in Sweetdate, how do I make updates?
Thanks,
Adam

Almost there, still missing the stacked date fields on the profile edit page though. See screenshot.
Also, this should work in all browsers right? I haven’t been checking everywhere.
Thanks,
Adam

Thanks for the attempt, but you only fixed 1 of 4 totally issues related to this problem.
See the attached screenshot but summarize (again) what’s still need here, here you go:
1. Fix date field stacking on register page (these should be horizontal like a date the way they were before the update).
2. Fix double description on profile>edit>base under display name field.
3. Fix date field stacking on profile>edit>base (these should be horizontal like a date the way they were before the update). Thanks,
Adam

Sorry for the long delay, I got married over the weekend so most of last week was extremely busy with family and planning for the event.
Anyway, back to the topics at hand. The fix you provided for 1 didn’t work, at all. You can see in the attached screenshots that it broke my registration page and didn’t fix the issue on profile editing either.
To be honest, this is really starting to hold me back, my outside developers are having to wait while I make these changes, and some of my plugins are multiple versions out of date now. We’ll disregard the last 9 days since they’re my fault, but otherwise your most recent solution took 17 days and didn’t do anything to fix the problem – it’s obviously not the easiest thing in the world, but that’s not acceptable.
Please provide a fix for this ASAP and if needed get other team members involved. The core plugins need to work for SweetDate to be considered a working product.
Thanks,
Adam

You mean you don’t start every work day thinking, “Oh I wonder what this guy Adam is asking today?” 😀 Seriously though, that’s an annoying feature but I understand how things like this go. In the future, I’ll ask my question, and wait for your reply before adding on.
1. This is getting extremely frustrating, it’s now 12 days since I reported that issue, and it needs to be resolved so I can confidently update my plugins. Many/most interact with BP so I’m worried that updating any of the others w/o updating BP will cause other issues. Moreover, BP is a core plugin to SweetDate’s package and areas impacted are pretty close to default, I can’t be the only one experiencing this problem.
5. I’ll try this next.
6. Good information, thank you. I’ll see if I can figure this out.
8. That’s what I thought too, so maybe the issue is actually that the logo update area isn’t working properly? As you’ll see in the screenshot, I changed my logo sizes and I still have the large sized logo in my header. Also, to confirm, I made sure I saved and cleared cache when checking.
9. I’m not sure I totally follow this, but I will try adding the tracking code as you mentioned to see if it makes it to the final live page (and my tracking works).
Thanks,
Adam

9. How do I make changes to http://www.fyrgolf.com/register outside of the fields? Initially, I was attempting to use a tracking tag/code manager to install Adwords tracking on the registration page. The plug in works fine elsewhere but seemingly cannot insert the code into this page in particular. I investigated a little more, and I see that I can’t change the page through the text or page builder for this page. I can’t actually even publish and update (most recent update date doesn’t change). Essentially, it seems like /register/ is not fully connected to the WP-CP in some way. Curiously Google Analytics tracking works okay here.
fyrgolfParticipantRadu,
It’s been close to 3 days now by my count, any update here?
Sorry to be impatient, but I have some things on hold until I can update my core plugins.
Thanks,
Adam
fyrgolfParticipantRadu,
Adding on one more hopefully easy question:
8. How can I adjust the header height? Because I only want/need a one line nav, there’s a lot of wasted space here, so I want to reduce the overall height. I’d obviously need to use a smaller logo version as well, but that’s not a problem so long as that works with the system (Sweetdate >> General Settings >> Logo). See the attached screenshot if my description isn’t clear.
Thanks,
Adam

Happy to working with you again, I appreciate your know how and advice.
1. Okay, I will wait for your response.
2. The video was pretty good, now I just need to try everything I’ve learned.
3. Okay, I will.
4. Previous method for disabling email is noted.
5. (What you listed as 4 most recently) This didn’t work, no space was added – see attached. I cleared cache and all of that.
6. In that case, can you tell me where the profile drop down nav exists in the site files? Can you also tell me where I control options there through the WP control panel if that’s possible?
7. This worked perfectly, thanks!
Thanks,
Adam

Not sure if you remember, but we worked together a little while back. Hope your short trip was good!
1. For the first two items I will ask on BP forums as you suggest. On the second part, that is correct, but we still need to resolve the issue so I can keep my plugins up to date. I can’t very well have that live for you to check as it makes my registration page look obviously broken (especially the doubling of the field description). Let me know how you want to proceed, but as that’s an issue with core plugins, and I’m using a very close to default process for registration, it seems likely that issue is appearing anywhere your demo sites are fully updated – or was and your team has already resolved. Let me know how you want to proceed?
Note: If we can EXACTLY coordinate, I could update the plugins, you could investigate the issue, if we can resolve quickly we resolve, otherwise you gather the info you need and then I rollback again until you can determine the cause. However, I can let the site sit there with those issues for the normal 48 hour response period.
2. Thank you, I will check this out.
3. Yes, I learned a little more about this after I asked the question. Is it possible to create custom automation rules / triggers? There is a list of option, but no way to add something that’s not on there.
4. Thanks, I’ll keep this in mind if the time comes.
5. I can give this a try in the next couple days. Where do I add that, to the Quick CSS field mentioned in 7?
6. The question here wasn’t really about inboxing – frankly I’m happy the default mail system even works as well as it does! It’s about adding an in platform notification for game (group) invites. I see now that there is one in system notification for invites (under notifications). Is it possible to either add a count next to groups (games) in the profile drop down or add notifications and a counter to the drop down? Basically, I’d like group (game) invites to give a notification in this drop down the same way friend requests currently does. Please see ProfileDropDown.
7. I’ll give this a try in the next couple days.

I’d received email confirmation that this ticket would be handled on Monday and I believe Monday is now closed in your time zone.
I know I asked several questions, so if this is taking a little longer that’s okay. However, last time I submitted a ticket that needed to be referred to a higher support level, it somehow got lost in the system. I don’t necessarily need all the answers immediately, but please confirm that my issues are being looked into ASAP.
Thanks,
Adam
fyrgolfParticipantLaura – Thanks for you help, I’ll look out for further follow up.
To the support staff responsible for assisting me, I have an update and a few additional questions. Also, it might be helpful to note, that I have used a language change to replace ‘Group/s’ with ‘Game/s’ to make more sense for my use case. No impact to functionality, but if you see the word Game as a heading/tag/etc. in my screens that’s what it is.
Update:
1. Under item 1 above, for the second two points the issue shown is being caused by BuddyPress updating from version 2.8.2 to 2.9.0 (rolled back and started re-updating plugins, this one is the culprit). How can I resolve this issue while keeping my plugins up to date? Note: I am currently rolled back to 2.8.2, I have live traffic coming at this point and cannot have a form with issues be one of the first touch points for my users.
Additional questions:
6. How do I add notifications to the site for game (group) invite notifications? I’d like to have a number show up next to profile and then next to game under drop down, when a user has been invited to a game (group). The only form of notification now is an automated email and those aren’t inboxing 100% of the time (a totally separate issue, that I don’t think is based on your platform/software).
7. Why is the crop preview not true to the actual crop being done? How can I resolve? See the CropIssue screen shot for an example. Basically the preview cuts off the image too soon on the bottom and right. When the image is actually cropped, it’s true to the user set crop box (a good thing), but the preview is confusing.
Thanks,
Adam
