heelsadminParticipant
Ahhhhhh, I’ve managed to restore a back up from yesterday so the child theme is back. Abe I’ve also update the theme and the fatal errors are gone.
Thanks both….awesome support 🙂heelsadminParticipantThanks both. i have just made a HUGE mistake and accidentally deleted the Kleo child theme on the server instead of the files inside the main Kleo theme. Do you know if there is any way I can retrieve this…or am I going to have to start again?! Have gone into my server file manager and the child theme is not there….What an idiot I am… arghhh!
heelsadminParticipantGood morning (it is where i am 🙂 )Thanks again..especially as you’ve been working so long.
I went to the /plugins/js_composer/changes.txt and the version is 4.3.4. so doesn’t appear to need updating then? Still haven’t updated the theme so maybe I should do that and then see if I can access the plugins?
heelsadminParticipantHi Sharmstr, thanks for helping 🙂 I haven’t updated visual composer since the previous update…..can’t tell which version I’m using as the error shows when I try to access the plugin page.
Found this post by Abe… I guess I need to update the theme as I didn’t do that before trying to update the K-elements plugin? I can’t do the automatic updates below due to the error so will have to delete the existing Kleo theme on the server and copy the new one in… do you think that’s right?
…………………………..
To update the theme you have several options.:Before updating the theme make sure to backup your files
1. Automatic updates:
– Go to WP admin – Theme options – Theme Update
– Enter Themeforest username and API KEY
– Save the options
– Go to WP admin – Dashboard (link should be like: /wp-admin/update-core.php) and you should see the theme there if there is a new update available
– Click the checkbox next to it and click to Update themes2. Manual update by FTP.
– Connect to your server.
– Go to wp-content/themes/ and copy “kleo” folder to your computer so you have a backup of your old files.
– Extract kleo.zip that you have downloaded from Themeforest. Make sure the resulting “kleo” folder has a style.css in it. Delete on your server all files inside wp-content/themes/kleo and then copy all files inside “kleo” folder to your server in wp-content/themes/kleoLast step is to go in WP Admin – Theme options and save the options since some dynamic elements might have been added and to make sure you get the latest styling.
…………………………heelsadminParticipantHi guys, I’m experiencing a similar problem and am trying to solve it. Got the fatal error again after clicking to update the K-elements plugin in the admin portal.
Found the new K-elements files (2.1.1) from the forum and uploaded them via ftp to the plugins directory under public_html. Deleted the original K-elements folder on my server. Now I have access to the admin portal again but but its saying there’s an error. I’ve tried activating the plugin but again it says:Fatal error: Call to undefined function kleo_get_category_list_key_array() in /home/heelsand/public_html/wp-content/plugins/k-elements-2/compat/plugin-js-composer/config.php on line 2144
Last time Abe said the error was because I hadn’t updated the theme and he kindly fixed that. Please can someone tell me how I can update the theme myself to a) hopefully resolve this issue and b)prevent it from happening in future.
P.S. I received the email from Evanto market saying there was a theme update available inn my downloads but couldn’t find any updates on their site.
Big thanks 🙂
heelsadminParticipantAlso, the client logos on the homepage and members images are hardly visible. They are still showing on the page but are extremely faint. Screen shots attached.
Can anyone help please?

heelsadminParticipantDone, thanks a million! The sticky menu is showing more deep than the non-sticky menu was..is that normal?
Is there a similar code we could use for centralising the main menu? It’s off set to the left now and looks odd underneath the centralised logo.
Also, I’ve tried to move the search icon and function to the top right menu, which we’d also like to add ‘Log in’ and ‘Join us’ links. Do you have any advice on how they can be moved/created please?
Many thanks,
heelsadminParticipantHi Catalin, thanks for your offer.
I’ve just managed to return the menu back (it had turned off in the menu manager). Since trying to move the social network icons, we’d like to try centralising the main logo in the header instead (and leave the social icons on the left). I saw in a previous forum post that someone had been provided code to enable this – it was with other code as well so I wondered if you could please send me the code to centralise the logo?
And did I place the code in the css before (can you tell from the image attached previously?).
Many thanks,
heelsadminParticipantThanks for your help Caitlin. I did as you suggested and the social icons have moved towards the right side of the top menu but all other items in the top menu have now disappeared.
Please see the screen shots attached for the css file where I pasted the code and the result. Any further advice please? Did I make a mistake with adding the copy maybe? Sorry, a newbie 🙂
(I added the code to style.css in the kleo-child theme.)

heelsadminParticipantThanks Abe. Since I’m learning and don’t want to make any more mistakes I’ve asked our site host company to upgrade the new K-elements plugin. #onasteeplearningcurve 🙂 Fingers crossed!
