The restrict box should work but correctly, try to check 1 or 2 memberships and not all

Hello, the directory shows all members, buddypress is not sync with paid memberships pro so its not affected by memberships.
You could create an integration but with the help of a developer

Hello, the best way is to setup your api and username at kleo update at theme options, this is the safest way. The child theme is NEVER updated. Only the main theme check https://archived.seventhqueen.com/kleo/article/updating-the-theme

then enable development mode from wp-admin -> theme options -> misscelaneous
