Hi,

Thanks for your reply. It worked when I switched to the parent theme, but continued to fail when I was using the child theme.

I’ve not changed any files with the child theme, but it did make me think that it might be good to update the child theme (I’ve been doing theme updates for the parent theme but I don’t think that updates the child theme).

When I updated the child theme to the most recent version the error has gone so it must have been due to a problem with a new parent theme and a dated child theme – worth knowing it doesn’t work because automatic theme updates only update the parent theme, I think?

I’ve done that now, but they are still there. I don’t have a caching plugin running on the site so that should not be creating an issue?

I’ve tried that, but it doesn’t work. The social text is still there.

Can we try anything else?

Also, can you tell me how to change the colour of the social icons in the top left of the window so that they stand out more against the grey?

It looks like the main menu redraws slightly when you first scroll (probably to make it sticky on the page as you scroll down). I see it in firefox and safari.

It does the same thing when you come back to the top of the page and it fixed there rather than scrolling down the page as a sticky menu.

Is there any way I can stop the slight bounce of the main menu when you first scroll down the page? It is a bit annoying if you are scrolling up and down at the top of the page?

The solution I tried from the page listed also seems to put the top bar menu items below the grey bar when the screen size is reduced.

It should be showing three items in a row, but it has two at the top and one below.

Thanks for that. I’ve tried that, but it doesn’t work.

I’ve taken it back to the recommended/bundled plugins only on localhost install and it still does not work (see screenshot).

Any other thoughts?
