I can create those pages, but I have no idea what content they should have? Are empty pages enough, and just name them to Register and Activate? And then assign them from settings mentioned above?

Also notifications are not working, and the is no site wide activity visible for new members.

Also, having minor bugs in the theme.
Users are not able to post any media from activity- page. Only from profile page.

Same issue with posting a media link like youtube. From activity update it shows only as a link, not preview.
From the profile- page however it shows up as preview.

I also have a bigger issue, the index.php uses massive amounts of CPU on my server and with 50 people online i am already getting warnings from the server hosting.

Can this be because some people have their email in facebook, and some does not?

Sounds like a horrible situation. Have you tried to contact your hosting company?
Maybe they are able to see what is eating up the CPU and/ or restore the site from a backup.
You can also try to check if the site is hacked, just google “is my site hacked”
