I deactivated the rtMedia for WordPress, BuddyPress and bbPress and it works now. As this plugin was bundles into your theme was could be the issue?

BTW I tested it on iphone 6, it happens when the mobile is verticle.

Also how do I change the header background colour on responsive view, it’s currently black.

When horizontal on iphone the header is split into dark grey and transparent – see screenshot.
