I found what was the problem about e-mails and fixed it, so now e-mails (including “forgot username/password) work good, but friends requests is still a big issue, trying to find a solution of what could be wrong.
Hi Laura, I did all you said to do, deactivated all that was possible to deactivate, left activated only minimum plugins that are required for the theme, reinstalled e-mails – same story.
1. friends requests sent but not received, only notification received
2. e-mails on registration don’t work, a user doesn’t get any e-mail
3. “forgot user name/password” on log in doesn’t work, “failure, the e-mail couldn’t be sent”.
I’m so frustrated, what’s the point to work on the site design and filling if the system itself doesn’t work.
