Do you have the latest version of WordPress ? If not update those
Do you have the latest version of the theme ? If not update those
Do you have the latest version of plugins installed ? If not update those
If you de-activate all plugins excepting BuddyPress/bbPress it works? if yes enable back plugins one by one to identify what causes this.
If you de-activate the child theme it works ?
Let me know

But the uploaded image is shown as a path (i:e) the uploaded image is stored in a location and the path of that stored location is shown as output in the profile field [SCREENSHOT : Path_of_stored_location ]. I want my users to view the uploaded image as an image and not the path of the stored loaction.Thanks in advance

Is there any plugin to filter members based on XProfile fields.January 12, 2017 at 19:02 #149622RaduModeratorHi
I see, in this case for your desired behavior in the profile ( to show the image, not the image path ) implies changes of the theme files that will require some time and we don’t have a quick solution regarding this.
There should be created absolute URLs from the relative ones then created a HTML markup for those images.
Question: Is there any plugin to filter members based on XProfile fields.
RE: Personally I don’t know such as plugin, search in worpress repository : http://wordpress.org/plugins/Cheers

How to extend the widget content area. [screenshot: Refer_]Attachments:
You must be logged in to view attached files.January 20, 2017 at 17:27 #150330RaduModeratorHi,
You can use this plugin to restrict access to certain users to change wp settings/themes etc…
Create a new account and assign it a custom role with your desired permissions for that, before using that plugin I recommend you to perform a database backup for any case
For the footer widget use this css have those inline
COPY CODE.widgets-container.sidebar_location #text-6 .textwidget div { display: inline-block; padding: 0 !important; margin: 0 !important; }
Cheers

This is how the BuddyPress works by default to show only the base group, for that you should look for a plugin or for a custom modification

January 31, 2017 at 11:04 #151490PrabanjaniParticipantThanks for the reply. Could you please suggest us a plugin for the same.
Some me issues:
1) I want to change the term (required) to “*”, where should i do the changes.[screenshot_1]
2) I want to change the options in “field_visibility”.
3) I want to change the styles in register field. I tried
legend {
font-weight: normal;
}
.standard-form input[type=text] {
height: 32px;
width: 70%;
}but these changes are not working.
Please help me in resolving these issues. Thank You.
January 31, 2017 at 16:56 #151541RaduModeratorHi
1. You can do that simply using translation method and to translate string required to *
2. I don’t understand the scenario.
3. If those are the correct selectors you should use !important declaration
COPY CODElegend { font-weight: normal !important; } .standard-form input[type=text] { height: 32px !important; width: 70% !important; }
The css should be added in wp-admin -> theme options -> styliong options -> quick css
Cheers
R.Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionJanuary 31, 2017 at 17:41 #151544PrabanjaniParticipantIs this code correct for converting the “required” string to “*”
$text = “required”;
function translate( $text, $domain = ‘*’ ) {
$translations = get_translations_for_domain( $domain );
$translation = $translations->translate( $text );
return apply_filters( ‘gettext’, $translation, $text, $domain );
}Please help me in correcting this, because I am new to php
January 31, 2017 at 19:29 #151556RaduModeratorPlease follow my method please it’s easier than php codes.
Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionJanuary 31, 2017 at 20:58 #151574RaduModeratorhttps://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/bugs-and-issues-4/#post-151541 point 1 i taught you already know the procedure
I will add the translation method below
Theme strings and plugins strings can easily be changed by using Loco Translate plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/loco-translate/
A small introduction on how translations work
Translatable strings can come from the theme or from the installed plugins. You need to translate the theme or the plugin depending on what section of the site your string is found.
For example if your string is on your BuddyPress profile then most probably you will need to translate BuddyPress plugin. If you are on the Forums section of your site then bbPress plugin should be the one that needs to be translated. Another example is the rtMedia plugin that adds the Media links to BuddyPress and if you want to translate it then this plugin will contain the string.
Follow these steps to get you started:
- Install Loco Translate plugin
- Go to the plugin dashboard: WP Admin – Tools – Manage translations
- Find the theme or plugin in the list.
- If the language isn’t already in the list then click Add new language, choose your language and if you are asked where you want to save the language files choose global language directory ( wp-content/languages/ ).
- Press SYNC button to synchronise your translation with the provided .pot file
- Search for the string you want to translate and add your translated string.
- Press Save when you finished your translation.
Note: You will have to set the language for your blog from WP-admin – Settings – General – Site Language – Choose your language
Cheers
