ParticipantThe line number helped a lot. I swapped out description for the name and placed it after the logo. Thank you for the help.

ParticipantI’m using Kleo Child as the theme right now, and the only php files there to edit originally were the Stylesheet and the functions.php. I copied the parent Kleo theme file general-header-file.php to the kleo-child directory on the server and made this update … and nothing changed (that I can see).

ParticipantAnd to add a third, since I’m trying to figure things out as I go here, where is the site title and byline supposed to show up?
I don’t want a Breadcrumb showing on my pages, and most sites would have the name up by the logo in the main menu bar, but the actual site title doesn’t show up anywhere. I’ve filled out every area that has an entry for site title and byline, both in customize and in theme options, but it never shows up anywhere.
What am I doing wrong?

ParticipantAfter disabling all of the plugins one by one, and then changing the theme to one of the default WordPress themes I realized I still had the same problem.
I found the solution here:
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/how-to-fix-permalink-postname-404-not-found?replies=9The long and short of it was that my Apache server wasn’t running the rewrite_module. Once I activated that module the base theme worked. I activated plugins and changed the theme back to Kleo and everything is working now.

ParticipantAs a follow-on, I’m not sure what changed, but changing the original to Default works and allows Members Masonry (as an example) to load, but clicking on the user listed there fails and gives a Not Found error as mentioned above.
Changing it to Post Name or any other option in the Common Settings makes Members Masonry go back to the Not Found error as well.

ParticipantMine doesn’t even load the base page and give a normal 404, it gives a Not Found page that reads as follows (and this occurs for many of the pages):
Not Found
The requested URL /members-masonry/ was not found on this server.
Apache/2.4.9 (Win32) PHP/5.5.12 Server at localhost Port 80

ParticipantI am having the same problem and going into Permalinks and Saving (or changing back to default and saving) doesn’t do anything. Any other thoughts?

ParticipantI’m not doing anything particularly complex or unusual with Jetpack. It’s an extremely common and standard plugin … I have a hard time believing I’m the only person who wants to run it and your theme at the same time.
Do you know or have any suspicion about what aspect of Jetpack is causing the problem?

ParticipantThe login information hasn’t changed from when I posted it above.
I’m not sure what you’re asking me to do with the settings panels in the backend editor. I work in the Backend editor (with Visual Composer) and this is where I experience the problem.

ParticipantWhen I add an element, the “Save Changes” button stops working like it’s supposed to … instead of actually saving, it closes the Edit window and that’s that. This happens with more than just the Kleo Posts element. It happens with the Edit command on the Row as well … Posts element … and others. I think it’s involved.

ParticipantOkay, everything’s seemingly working again. How do I share admin credentials with you? Is there an email address I can use to send them to?

ParticipantI’d be happy to, but my host is apparently having major server problems right now. I haven’t been able to access it for a couple days and the wp-admin page is failing to load for me. I’ll create an account for you when I can actually log in myself.
