ParticipantThanks Radu, that placed a box at the top of the page before the search results (pic 1). Can I place an ad unit between the rows of search results (pic 2)?

ParticipantHi Radu, I mean the text in the search results that shows the user’s age and location.

ParticipantAndrei, thanks for investigating. I got the following reply from the Buddypress forum.
By default the avatar sizes are :
– 150x150px for Full size
– 50x50px for thumb sizeIf a message is asking for a different minimum size, then it’s meaning a plugin or a theme is using some of our filters/constants to edit these sizes.
You can search for this filter bp_core_avatar_full_width or this constant BP_AVATAR_FULL_WIDTH outside of BuddyPress to find who’s setting the size to be 580x580px.
So how big is the avatar supposed to be and where do I change the settings to make the error message go away?

ParticipantAndrei, that wasn’t a small image. As I mentioned in the original post, it was 3504 × 2336 pixels (860 KB). I didn’t choose a small portion of the image to crop. In fact I stretched it to the edges of the original photo. It was definitely much bigger than 580 x 580.
It’s okay if you don’t know the solution because it’s a Buddypress issue. But it’s presumptuous of you to insist that it’s an issue with the image size when I have specifically said that that’s NOT the issue here.

ParticipantLaura, can we remove the last change you made? It seems more trouble than it’s worth. Sorry and thank you.
dsniche
ParticipantThat works, but the avatar on profile page also becomes that size, which is smaller than the original profile photo.
dsniche
ParticipantLaura, how do I turn off the custom profile matching now? I tried using Sweetdate > Profile Matching but that didn’t work. Do I have to use another method to turn it on and off?
dsniche
ParticipantThe match percentage should be above the profile photo, next to the username. Also, the “private message” button should be to the right of the profile photo, not below it. I attached a screenshot.

ParticipantI do have w3 total cache but object cache is not enabled. Not all location updates are shown multiple times in the activity stream. Some people updated their locations and it only appeared once in the activity stream, so I’m also not sure how to test this.

ParticipantYes I did and the error still appears.
dsniche
ParticipantYes, I use the first 3 lines of the first snippet of code you gave me and that seems to work to hide the full name. The alignments of items on the profile page are still messy though.
dsniche
ParticipantLaura, I added the code and signed in with a non-admin username. Only my own full name is hidden from my own profile page. If I check out other profiles, I can still see their profile names.
dsniche
ParticipantHmmm ok so it would only work with metric measurements then. Thanks for the explanation.
dsniche
ParticipantI added a screenshot. As you can see, alignments are fine, but the full name appears again, so we’re back to square one. How can we remove the full name from profile page?

ParticipantHi Laura, the alignments are now fine but now the full name appears again on the profile page.
I had previously placed the code you gave to remove the full name and that messed up the alignments and made some of the profile fields blank. Now the code you gave is gone and everything is back to how it was before we removed the full name display from the profile page.
How can I remove the full name from profile page and have all other elements appear as they should?

ParticipantIf the height is shown as feet and inches, then they won’t be only numbers. I’ll have apostrophe signs, like 5’5″ for example. Would the system be able to recognize this as a regular number and put them in the correct order? Or would I have to use metric measurements as those are only numbers?
dsniche
ParticipantIt’s also making some of the profile fields blank.

ParticipantThanks Laura, that worked. But the alignments of other items on the page are now changed as well. I’ve attached screenshots of the before and after.

ParticipantThanks for the quick response. Good to know I can use this field for what I want.
Using height as the numerical field, is it possible to use feet & inches? The numbers in metric would be in the proper sequence (160, 161, 162 cm for example) , whereas with feet & inches it would be like 5’1, 5’2, 5’3, so not exactly actual sequential numbers.
Also, how do I make the two search boxes appear in the search page? If I select height as a numerical field from Sweetdate>Buddypress, will the search boxes automatically appear?

ParticipantHello? Is anybody working on this? It’s been more than a week.
Another button is also affected by Geo my WP. On the search members page, the search button is also empty. It’s supposed to have a search icon in it, but now it’s just a blue rectangle.

ParticipantHello? Any news on the facebook button and Geo my WP? Is it just me or is this happening to others with Geo my WP too?
With the facebook login, I finally got it to work. If anybody else is facing this problem, here’s what I did:
-turned on Client OAuth login
-turned on Web OAuth login
-under “Valid OAuth redirect URIs”, I entered 2 variations of my domain name, so “http://domain.com/” and “http://www.domain.com/”dsniche
ParticipantI tried deactivating all plugins except Buddypress and removing all other codes from sweetdate-child/functions.php and bp-custom.php. I even removed the quick CSS from Sweetdate > Styling Options. I still can’t get the code to work. What else can I do to try and get the site as close to the way it is right out of the box without losing all my settings?

ParticipantI understand it’s supposed to go to the 404 page if it works. What I meant was that the search still leads to the results page for users who are not logged in. It doesn’t work.
dsniche
ParticipantAbout the facebook button in the register box, you’re right. It was because of a plugin, but what surprised me was it’s Geo my WP. I thought this was supposed to be compatible with Sweet Date? Can I fix this problem as still use Geo my WP?
dsniche
ParticipantIt doesn’t work. Child theme is activated and I tried using your original code that leads to the 404 page. Search still leads to results page for users who are not logged in.
