I can do it whenever you like. All I have to do is reduce the number of members per page. Please let me know when you would like me to do it because I don’t want to leave it that way for very long.
garrett800ParticipantGreat suggestion! I was thinking more along the lines of a ‘Welcome email’ that could be customized, I think that would be even more useful IMO.
garrett800ParticipantI would also like this. I have been shopping around for IOS and Android app builders, but am afraid to pull the trigger for the same reasons DDClub explained.
If you would offer this service for a reasonable price, I would certainly be interested!
garrett800ParticipantAgree with this! This is especially an issue when accessing via smart phone. I was about to suggest this fix myself, but someone beat me to it…..
This is one of my only issues with Sweetdate. If you guys can fix this, me and my members would be very happy!
December 24, 2015 at 03:08 in reply to: Change Date Selector Upper Birthday Year from 1997 to 1998 on sign up page #95163garrett800ParticipantOk, so if I have set the ‘inferior age’ to 18, does that mean the year will change to 1998 automatically when we get to 2016? I’m talking about the date selector when someone registers.
December 22, 2015 at 16:09 in reply to: Can’t log into Worpress Amin panel after Buddypress is activated #94863garrett800ParticipantMy host did something to resolve the issue, but I can’t remember what they did sorry.
December 22, 2015 at 16:06 in reply to: Change Date Selector Upper Birthday Year from 1997 to 1998 on sign up page #94861garrett800ParticipantI understand that, but there is no way to change the date selector itself. Or does it update automatically to 1998 when the year changes to 2016? Please let me know. Thank you.
December 12, 2015 at 19:56 in reply to: HELP! Most pages throwing 404 Error after plugin and Buddypress update! #92855garrett800ParticipantBTW, is it ok to update to WordPress V. 4.4? And is there anything I need to know about issues, etc. before doing so?
December 12, 2015 at 19:54 in reply to: HELP! Most pages throwing 404 Error after plugin and Buddypress update! #92854garrett800ParticipantAfter doing some research about the issue, I think I have figured it out. The permalinks just needed to be set to default, then set back to where I had them previously. Now all the pages are normal again.
This is why I hate updating anything. There always seems to be issues after doing any kind of update, then you have to research on how to fix. Meanwhile I have hundreds of users on my site getting confused and new visitors giving up and leaving because nothing works.
garrett800ParticipantWhat I did was just delete both parent and child themes within WP Admin, then re-installed both and activated child theme again. Then, I imported my customization text that I had saved as you instructed. Then I just had to add a minor CSS customization that I had on the Child Theme to make my logo 150X150. That all seemed to work fine, everything looks great.
Just to verify, the most updated version of Sweetdate parent is 2.9.1 right? Is that the version that was updated on December 4, 2015? And can you tell me what things were changed in this update?
Thank you.
garrett800ParticipantThis does not appear to be a plugin conflict. I have deactivated each plugin individually, and the issue is still happening. I also tried changing the number of profiles that appear on the members page. The only time it works is when the number of the last page is below 1000. Any number over 1000 and it spins forever when user clicks on it. I have tried it in I.E., Chrome, Firefox, and Opera browser and it happens the same in all.
Is there any way to change the code to hide that last page number so it is not clickable to users? Then obviously users will not be able to jump to the last page, but I think that is much better than the user getting stuck.
Let me know if there are any other suggestions for the issue. The only temporary fix I have found is to increase the number of members per page, but that only works until the number of member pages reaches over 1000 again.
November 27, 2015 at 15:31 in reply to: “Top Members” Carousel – How to Change Number of Members Showing #89536garrett800ParticipantAnywhere from 12 to 21. I would like it to work similar to the “Latest Members” carousel attached to the Search Form, where the user can click the arrows to left and right to see more profiles. Is this possible with Top Members?
garrett800ParticipantI guess that could be the problem, some are registering but not logging in after that. Is there a way to change the registration process to eliminate the email requirement, so the user can just register and be logged in immediately without having to click an email verification link? Thanks.
