Hello, do you have the slider installed at Revolution SLider? Please go to Appearance > Demo and make sure to check the revolution slider when importing the shop demo, also, its just the homepage design, not the shop itself, for the shop you need to setup woocommerce plugin 🙂

1- If you install https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-cover-photo/ and go to Settings > Buddypress > Options you should be able to set a default cover photo
2- Do you mean you cant see the homepage at the menu? You can edit the menu at Appearance > Menu
3- You can have submenus by grabing the menu item and drop it “inside” of another, make sure to set the menu as “Primary menu” at the bottom
