The sit is http://50plusconnects.com do you need access info in a private response?

I appreciate you quick responses Abe. I really want this setup to work. As I said it is a beautiful theme. In fact, I think it is the best looking dating site option on the market.

But these are critical issues for dating sites.

Yes, I am using 2.4. The child-theme style.css is just not showing the change.

So, the issue wasn’t resolved with 2.4

I am in 2.4. I updated yesterday. At least I thought I did. The theme info page says I am still using 2.3. Why would that be?

Obviously I didn’t look close enough.

The design of the theme is beautiful, and my focus was on some features that no one else offered.

The Feature list said Matching, so I assumed that it was included. I didn’t realize the only matching was the number on profile photos.

But the main issue here is that the search feature does not hold on to your searches when you check a profile. Even the BP Search Profile plugin does this – which is what I am looking at as my alternative. But should I need to? Why wouldn’t this be assumed to be a part of the setup?

Think about it. When you are looking through the profiles – do you want to have to redo the whole search every time you check a profile? Don’t you think a person would be frustrated pretty quickly by this?

This has been a critical issue for my clients, who just realized this issue.

IT is very frustrating for a user to do a search – click a profile in the results, and then lose the search results when they want to go back to view other search results.

It means they have to start all over.

This puts the theme in “not ready for prime-time” category, which is what I will need to say in the reviews.

My clients want this fixed NOW – and I have no idea how to resolve it. Makes me frustrated that I went in this direction.

No matching and no held search results. These are critical dating site features.

Matching profiles is a critical element. I didn’t realize it wasn’t a part of this when I set it up – now my client is upset it is not there.

The only plugin that used Ajax is Quotes Collection.

I deactivated that and the problem persists. Most of the plugins installed are the ones that come with the theme – related to BuddyPress, etc.

I am using BuddyPress Groups Extras because I need some pages in BuddyPress to do what the client needs on this site. Is that Ajax based? Jetpack is installed. Don’t believe that uses Ajax.

I have the latest theme (I think) 2.3.1 and I also still see this when going to the second page of search results. All of a sudden I see both men and women, instead of just the women I am looking for.

If you ever get this developed or Robert if this is ever done – it would sure help. It would help in creating a matching feature, which is critical for most dating sites.

I don’t have any of them logging in yet, as the site will not be launched until next Thursday.

I didn’t want the site to show no members in the directory when there are actually about 600.

Lot to do still to get them moved in.

No, I installed it directly on to the server, and have had the site in maintenance mode while building it.

The issue is resolved. I upgraded WordPress to 3.8 and did the SweetDate update and the issue went away.

So, you may be right, something in the install must have been wrong. Everything worked once I got in and reactivated all the plugins. It just was an issue when I would log out as admin and try to log back in.

Figured this one out. It is a BuddyPress issue, and this is my first time working with BP.

Apparently only people who have logged in and done something show up in the Directory. So, I found a way to add a last_activity line to the wp_usermeta table (with a date input) and they display.

However, the number of members still shows as 3 even though I have more people showing now.

So, now I need to figure out where the member count comes from.

It appears that the people who I am adding are being listed in the Membership Pro list, but they are not getting connected to BuddyPress.

I have Enable BuddyPress to WordPress profile syncing checked, so I thought that was automatic.

    Am I missing something?

I am still struggling with this issue. Every time I leave the dashboard I have to delete the active plugins in the database in order to log back in. I am able to work in the dashboard after reactivating the plugins. That stays until I leave.

I also tried to add another shortcode plugin. That gave me 404 errors when trying to activate it. Does that mean that other shortcodes are incompatible with the ones you offer? If so, can I add new shortcodes to what you offer?

Sorry – I didn’t get a notice on this reply.

It only happens when I am trying to login. If I deactivate all plugins, I can login. I activate them and things work until I log out and comeback again later.

The only plugins I am using are the ones recommended by this theme. I take it back on woocommerce, it happened even if it was not activated.

I don’t know for sure if it is the plugins, but that is what allows me back in. I have tried cahging site address in database to http://www.mydomain.com and back again without the www. I have tried canging the .htaccess file per some suggestions. Nothing is stopping this.

The error log only tells me that it can’t find the file 50plusconnects-com
[Sun Dec 08 10:45:39 2013] [error] [client 72.211.175.51] File does not exist: /home/user/public_html/50plusconnects-com

I have no idea where this file is being referenced. None of my settings have a hyphen instead of the period.

Really frustrated, as I have a lot to do to get this site ready (fixed deadline). And these keeps hindering me.
