I have the same problem, my slider is shown on the slider list in the homepage editor, but does not show on the webpage.

Worse, I tried the suggestion of changing the code from True to False in my Wp-admin files on my server. Now I cannot edit the site because I get pages of error messages from the server like this:

So now not only does the slider not work, my ability to edit the page is gone.

How do I put a picture in the place of the slider? I cannot see my sweetdate homepage in the “pages” feature on my dashboard. How can I get to the pages to edit them?

Can I use a widget like site origin editor on sweetdate pages in order to put a picture, shortcode or text there?

I used the file manager feature on my godaddy hosting account. I had the godaddy people walk me through the process on the phone.

I finally managed to upload it directly to the server.

I have not been able to upload the theme to my wordpress. I extracted the files sweetdate.zip and sweetdatechild.zip I was able to upload the sweetdatechild.zip file but not the sweetdate.zip

I tried to do it in the usual way to upload a theme. I unzipped the themeforest package containing the zip files. I placed the two zip files, including the sweetdate.zip on my desktop. I went to wordpress themes –add a theme–upload a theme–selected the sweetdate.zip file from the desktop and clicked the button to upload it. I saw the percentage of upload on my screen to to 100%, then got the error message “do you really want to do this….please try again”.

I tried that several times. I increased the php.ini settings to make sure there was enough room to upload a file that size…less than 10mg.
