You are indeed correct Abe (as always!)
I must have copy/pasted the css incorrectly somehow, as by copying it from your reply made it all work perfectly when pasted into Child CSS.I remain extremely grateful. Over the last year the SQ support here has been exceptional.
You must get frustrated sometimes with inexperienced users (like me) but I have learned a lot already, and I think this fix in particular is a very useful issue to highlight for the benefit of others etc.Keep up the great work. It’s almost time for me to put my hand in pockets and pay for extended support! I assume this can be done easily via ThemeForest or the SQ website, yes?
Kindest regards,Andrew
ABCParticipantHi Sharmstr,
Although this fix works on my buddyapp site, I can’t seem to get it to work on my Kleo site?
Can you reconfirm what I need to do to add the overlay to the group description(s) as I don’t think its been address in any update yet? Please advise CSS & where to add it (child theme etc.)
Many thanks as always,
AndrewABCParticipantHi Laura,
YES! That works. Finally 🙂 (Yippee)
Only one thing now. The Font is perfect. It is Black and then changes to white when hovered. Only problem is, when you go to the menu page you select on hover, is there anyway to keep the hover text white, so the user knows which section they have selected? e.g. If you go to “Projects” then the Main menu bar shows all other sections in Black, with “Projects” highlighted in white (same as on hover)?
Is that possible? (Then I promise never to bother yo ever again)…
Your assistance is (as always) greatly appreciated). Andrew.
ABCParticipantMy Main menu needs to be Montserrat, font-size 28, bold, 700 weight.
Please help as I need to ‘go live’ very soon.
ABCParticipantHi Laura,
I use Google font “Montserrat”.
Please also let me know where I best-place any CSS you provide (Child CSS Style sheet or Quick CSS).
This is to override the main menu font.Thank you as always,
AndrewABCParticipantLaura,
What about css to change the Main Menu FONT (not style css as above) so that its different from the pulled-in “main body font”? This was also asked in the Question topic?
I use ONE FONT for h1,h2,h3,h4,h5 – but BODY font is different (for styling reasons).
CSS to change Main Menu Font to same as h1-h5 (or how to override font to be used for the main menu) PLEASE!

Thank you so much sharmstr – You’re a star!
February 9, 2016 at 01:24 in reply to: Remove border on Sticky Menu when set to ‘auto resize’. #102814ABCParticipantHi Radu,
That’s perfect and just what I wanted. Thank you SO MUCH for providing this simple fix.
I hope that anyone looking to remove shadow from the sticky menu/header can now simply copy this and do-it-themselves.Great response time (as always) and your instructions were very clear/idiot-proof! 🙂
10/10
ABCParticipantThanks sharmstr (as always).
Please just conform that I need to place this code in the Footer CSS (Theme Options) yes?
Your comment about not seeing the “social icons” made me chuckle – of course I will be changing the Footer colour otherwise indeed, – They would be black-on-black, kinda dumb! (haha)
I have a request to remove the slight border around the Main Menu but I will open a new ticket, as I think it will help others too.
Excellent response as always 🙂
ABCParticipantFor the benefit of users reading this. I was able to adjust the Logo size by adding the following CSS to the Child Theme:
.logo img {
max-height: 100px; max-width: 220px;
}Hope this helps others…
ABCParticipantJust thought I would let you know that your feedback encouraged me to buy the Theme, which is now installed. Your FIX works great.
Perfect assistance!
Thanks [once again] Sharmstr.
ABCParticipantSorry… I see I just needed to add some groups and then I used “custom link” to list items under this sub heading.
All OK.
ABCParticipantHi Sharmstr,
Thanks for this. I will add it to Child Theme and make a note to remove it prior to the next update.
Thank you for your assistance. 5* service as per usual.
Brilliant.ABCParticipantOK great. I am happy with that. However, to fully answer my query – I assume you can provide the CSS needed to add to the child theme – until the next update fixes it?
I am sure other users would appreciate you publishing the CSS to fix this. Thank you.
ABCParticipantJust to clarify.
Can this ‘one line of CSS‘ be added to a child theme (if BuddyApp even has a child theme?) so it can be a site-wide modification?
+ I assume you’ll let me know what the CSS is once I’ve purchased the Theme?? 🙂 🙂
ABCParticipantHi Sharmstr,
All my ‘waffle’ and you sum it up in 2 Words! – ‘Gradient Overlay’ 🙂
I’m glad you agree. There’s little point in keeping a design so ‘clean’ that you can’t see what’s written! At the end of the day it’s all about functionality & usability.
I assume that ‘gradient overlay’ is a design element I can ‘turn on’ in theme settings?
Just confirm/point me in the right direction and I’ll be getting my Credit Card out TOADY!
Thanks as always for your stellar response times.
Regards, Andrew.ABCParticipantAs an existing customer (KLEO THEME) I am seriously thinking about BuddyApp for another site. However, as a non-experienced coder what concerns me the most is the following:
On the BuddyApp Demo, when you click on any of the groups, the description is in white text, most of which is illegible as the background image for the Group clashes with the text. Users will wish to upload the most suitable background image for their Group – so how then to make the ‘Group Description’ clearer to read?
Obviously different background images will effect how easily the description can be read/seen. There is little point in changing the Theme default text colours as each background image is going to mess things up differently.
Therefore; is there a way to ‘overlay’ the Group Descriptions with its own semi-transparent block (say, grey block with white text) which when placed over the background image will make everything much easier to read?
1. See problem in First attachment screenshot
2. See better design in Second screenshot.
Feedback would be great, thank you.

As TABs are probably a widely used element of the Theme I appreciate that you would want to resolve this issue promptly (for the benefit of all users etc.) However, to have such a quick turn-around is fantastic. I have highlighted only a few issues with this Theme since I purchased it and my decision to buy was influenced by the positive comments by existing users about your high quality support.
Anyone still ‘sitting on the fence’ regarding KLEO or other 7th Queen products should take note: SUPPORT IS GREAT!
Thanks again for taking the time to help me. Keep up the good work.
ABCParticipantHi Abe,
Firstly, I’ve updated to the latest KLEO release.
As you have my login details, I wonder if you could do this for me, as I am petrified that I might mess it up!?I am sorry for being such a nupty – but I am not a coder and do need some ‘hand-holding’.
Many thanks for your continued support and the fact that you actually bothered to fix this – most impressive!
Kindest regards,Andrew
ABCParticipantThank you for your quick response, which is appreciated. I have updated VC and 2 other updates in the hope that this would resolve the problem, but unfortunately the problem still exists.
You will note that after the updates, the TAB content is still not working within the element container (new TAB element). It works OK on the depreciated TAB element in VC?
I would appreciate you looking into this further for me, as it’s my company website etc etc..
Keep up the good work guys.
Regards,
AndrewABCParticipantFirstly sharmstr, thank you very much for your prompt assistance – one of the fundamental reasons for opting to trust 7th Queen – keep up the excellent work!
As I continue to experience some upload issues with the open-source Rev Slider templates its obviously a problem as you have suggested. As a Mac user, the .zip file is uncompressed when downloaded, so I usually simply make a copy by “compressing it” and then use the newly created .zip file for upload. In all other aspects of WordPress this works 100% for me. Is there a better way to compress to avoid the ‘corrupt file’ errors?
Sorry for the basic question (everyone else please don’t laugh at me!! 🙂 I just wondered if I could do the process a better way?…
Thank you again sharmstr for you much appreciated feedback.
