After 3 days of pain, Rackspace finally figured out that WP 4.3 has a major bug that allows cron jobs to run and not stop.

This is what killed our site.

I will say, in the past our only issues arose when we upgraded the KLEO. That is why I assumed it was the theme again.

While investigating degraded performance and rapid log grown on a MySQL host, we found that the 484599_roto associated with http://www.rotocurve.com was receiving excessively large UPDATE queries causing high disk utilization and rapid binlog growth on this server. Unfortunately to stop this activity from affecting other customers we have set a limit on the maximum updates per hour allowed to this database. The query in question is about over 2 million characters long and at the current rate is causing 200MB of logs to be written every minute. Below is a small sample of the query:

Just getting worse…..now someone who was able to login is reporting that any time he posts in the forum it does not appear after being submitted.

Yes, we are baffled by this message. We have only been in business for 4 months and have not engaged in any kind of mass email that would bring a SPAM label.

Also, we have been using https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-smtp/ for about 2 weeks. It does not seem to be providing a remedy to the issue.

Still facing issues with login. When I tried to login, its posting to wp-login.php rather than wp-admin.php as its a ajax request. Please correct me if I am wrong ?

We just went back to the last version of the theme and all is OK.

Obviously issue has to do with 3.0 update.

It shows 2 highlights…..should only show 1 over the homepage when I am on the homepage.

Blue highlight appears over HOME and DFS TOOLS in the main navigation.
