Yes i have…..and still have the issue…….but I’m going to hold on with this issue because it might be related to the portfolio code that is making Chrome HANG indefinitely. I pin pointed the k-elements plugin to be the source of the problem and within that plugin it’s the portfolio code specifically. Makes Chrome Hang indefinitely and makes internet explorer load VERY SLOW. Waiting for ABE to read my other message. Can’t really move forward until this is resolved.

On another note, It seems i am having problems with loading times. Chrome (regular and incognito) never actually load. Even after waiting an hr still loading. Sometimes half of the page does not show up. Internet explorer does finish loading but takes about a minute to load. (still very slow). Firefox is the only browser that loads everything perfect and loads under 10 seconds. Under 10 seconds is fine but an hr or even a minute people wont wait that long for something to load.

I have optimized images, removed as much content as i can, disabled plugins and nothing seems to work. All browsers are up to date etc.

I’m thinking maybe its hanging on some type of code?

Can you shed some light on this? I’m stuck

Abe,

I appreciate you helping me but I don’t really think it was a customization on my part when the pagination does not work at all with long titles. The desktop version or mobile version looks like a mess when a title is longer then a certain amount of characters. The theme should either have a cut-off of characters or some other type of solution.

Yoast plugin recommends a minimum of 40 characters for good seo practices so this is not something just one person will do. If someone does care about seo then titles will be at least 40 characters long and your theme did not accommodate that.

So again to wait weeks for a simple fix like this I don’t think is fair at all. And all responses I get from you now are averaging a week of waiting time. When reading through the forum it looks like I’m not the only one waiting weeks for responses. I don’t know if you are under staffed but it really is beginning to get frustrating.

I am not saying this to be a pain in the ass. And I hope that you remember that I have been very patient with all the prior fixes. I am just bringing this to your attention as a customer and hope you are aware of this. I believe in your theme and I believe in your support but just had to point out What I think was important to note.

To have told you multiple times that the code you gave me reported errors and you just assumed I was doing something wrong is VERY disappointing. While going through your code I found that your <?php end tag had an extra space on both end tags like this < ?php which was causing the entire site to shut down. Come to find out I never did anything wrong.

For the simple fact that I had to find a problem entirely on my own, in a code language that I know nothing about is crazy. It wouldn’t of been that big of a deal if I hadn’t uploaded the file hundreds of times thinking I must be crazy. Especially after hearing from you that I must be the one adding the code in wrong. On top of that this simple issue took up DAYS of my time and lasted weeks where it really is a 2 min fix.

At the end of the day all i want to do is fix the issues with this theme as quickly as possible and move forward. I have been very patient even though when first buying this theme it took months to fix the hosted video option which is the only reason I purchased this theme is the first place. So to be already months behind schedule and to add extra weeks on small fixes like this one would frustrate anybody. All I ask is to get fixes done at a reasonable amount of time. Can we do that???

And waiting an entire week for one response is definitely not a reasonable amount of time. I just can’t be wasting this much time anymore. Do I have to do something different on my end in order to get faster responses? Whats going on Abe?

I was already aware of the menu options on every page but was wondering if there was a global setting for each option so that i wouldn’t have to edit every new page…..

For example I don’t want any of my pages to show title information. but with how things are now I have to change this option to hide title info every time I make a new page since the default is to show. Any way to change the defaults of all the options as a global setting? Wondering if I can cut some corners. lol

Abe,

When I put that php code in the kleo child theme function.php the entire site goes down. no matter what page i try to open the following error pops up on a blank screen.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected end of file in /home/content/p3pnexwpnas05_data01/81/2280181/html/wp-content/themes/kleo-child/functions.php on line 40

I could not even use wp dashboard.
only way to fix it was to delete the php code and upload the php file without the code.

The template seems to save content but not page options like breadcrumb options etc.

How can I carry over page options or how can i globally turn off breadcrumbs, hide title info etc without having to edit this on every page?

Yes Abe,

I was just going to message you and let you know the exact same thing. Everything works great right now. I don’t know if it was just delayed from what you did earlier or if you were working on it while i was testing it but it’s all good now.

Update:….. chrome mobile works now….. i dont know why it suddenly works unless you fixed it while i was testing it…..

That leaves only one last problem now.

Last issue now is just Firefox’s Extremely long loading time and freezing when page is refreshed etc.

Yes i always Clear cache….

Now Firefox Seems to load more then it ever has but loading takes 10 times longer then other browsers. And when refresh is hit the site basically freezes and doesn’t reload. Why is this?

Also the android mobile Chrome doesn’t show any videos.

This is beginning to be a nightmare………

Not only does the Firefox and android mobile still not load even after uploading ALL formats,,,, Mp4, OBV, WEBM ……. But it seems Chrome is still not fixed because every time I load Chrome i get a different result. Not once can I replicate how the Chrome browser loads the video files. Every time I load I get a different result. VERY UNSTABLE.

Attached below is some examples of how Chrome Loads even after waiting 5 min to make sure everything has loaded.

So again……….

* FireFox Still does not load Videos

* Android Mobile Browser (chrome) does not load videos

* Chrome does not load all videos 50% of the time. Very unreliable

That’s strange because with just the mp4 videos they loaded fine on my android device before and now no videos load at all no matter how much time i wait. Also the firefox browser does not load videos either even though i have a webm and mp4 versions loaded?

The firefox issue and android mobile issue looks exactly the same. No other browsers or formats have this issue. Just android mobile and Firefox

Also just found out one other thing. Previously all videos showed up perfect on mobile devices. Now the mobile video looks exactly like the screenshot of the Firefox page above. Videos are all hidden on mobile.

So Chrome and internet explorer Versions look flawless and everything looks to be fixed….. But when i got to firefox looks like problems still exist. I do have both webm and mp4 videos uploaded but firefox seems to hide all videos and cover up the video area with what ever is below on that page. see attachment.

Please make sure you refresh page many times in order to test this out correctly. Problem does not happen on every load. looks like problem happens 2 out of 3 times give or take.

Been trying to troubleshoot this for the past 3 days and still can’t see anything wrong on my end.

One thing i have noticed is when page is refreshed sometimes the weird video bar disappears and looks like the first screen shoot I attached. Then after refreshing again weird video bar appears again (second screen shot). Every other time page is refreshed portfolio area changes ?????

Also just to add I did not replace the kleo child folder. I left that the same since i have a lot of work on other pages that i wouldn’t want to lose since i have a good couple months of work saved.

I downloaded a totally fresh version of kleo and then replaced the old version of the folder by ftp transfer. After all that the video play bar still looks weird and it looks like i never replaced the kleo folder.

I verified that the new folder replaced the old one because after deleting the old folder the live site showed it was empty.

Am i doing something wrong?

I deactivated minify . Didn’t seem to fix anything. Should i do anything else?
