I just installed it

They use their own categories taxonomy, not the built in wp categories so you’ll have be able to query those using wp category queries.

I was able to display the test event I created using the post grid shortcode.

Hmmm. I’ve never had a problem with my CPTs. Maybe they have registered their CPT in such a way that it wont display unless called from their functions. If they have a shortcode you can put that in a text field.

Usually when providing css with colors, I dont provide what I think is best color or color hex codes. I use plain english color names so people can understand it better. We have a lot of folk on here that have never seen css before 🙂

I dont think you’ll have an issue with the add-on and conflicts per se. I think the issue you’ll run into is if the add-on needs a new version of VC that may or may not work with Kleo.

What add-ons specifically are you looking at? If they are something I’m interesting in using and they dont work, then I’d be willing to help make them work.

There’s no reason to make them portfolio posts. Just enable Visual Composer for posts and you can achieve the same thing as portfolio items.

But even going that route will be a pain. It might be easier from a non-coding standpoint, you’d have to fill out the title, image and currently there’s no shortcode for likes and social sharing.

You’re better off coding the layout so it will auto populate all of that stuff. There are lots of topics on here about customizing the layout. I know I’ve written up a few things on how I’ve done it. If you’re not comfortable with php then you’ll have to hire someone.

Again, more work a first, but will save you a ton of time in the end.

Do a search and read the topics about it. If you have questions about concepts and layouts lets us know.

Full width overlay can be imported using wp admin – appearance – kleo demo data – specific page – home portfolio full-width. you already have it here: http://247.c19.myftpupload.com/models/

Regarding custom logo. Do you have caching plugin installed? All you need to do is set the custom logo in Theme general settings – display settings on the page. Maybe try deleting the logo defined, save the page, see it loads your regular logo. If it does, then go back in and tell it to use your custom logo.

If you expand home-default.zip is slider_export.txt in there? Maybe your download is corrupt. I just checked the latest 2.3 download and its fine.

That’s probably from you importing demo content multiple times. Just go into appearance – menus and delete the menu, or delete all the duplicate menu items or even better, create your own menu and set it as the default.

Sounds like you’re actually trying to import /main files/plugins/revslider.zip. There’s more than one demo slider in /main files/demo content/revolutions slider. If I’m wrong and you are actually trying to import of the several demo sliders, then please tell us which one has the error.

You site is throwing javascript errors. Please do a few things.

1 – Make sure kleo and k-elements are at 2.3
2 – Make sure vc is at 4.3.4
3 – disable all plugins except buddypress, k-elements, rtmedia, visual composer and rev slider.
4 – See if you still have that problem and report back.

Sounds like you have an old version of Visual Composer installed. Current version for is 4.3.4. You might as well wait since they will be releasing 4.3.5 today due to compatibility issues with WP 4.1 that was released yesterday.

Both WP and VC updates were released less than 24 hours ago. I’m sure an update is coming but it takes time to test.
