Thanks. I meant to tell you I tried that as well and we are using the Child Theme. Neither has an effect. Can you pop in there and take a look for me?
toneeeParticipantThanks for the reply.
1.) I added the snippet to /wp-admin/admin.php?page=buddyapp-options under the Quick Javascript field under my Google Analytics snippet. This had no effect on the number of items listed on the news feed. There are still items including new posts from members and other posts like new members.
toneeeParticipantHello. They are set to be at a HUGE convention with over 30K people tomorrow and we really needed this answer. Please advise. The app is SUPER SLOW w/ this theme.
Thanks.
toneeeParticipantAhhh, I had to activate the BuddyApp core theme, then return to the child theme and it worked like a charm! (BuddyPress was already updated.)
I updated/corrected your admin password, but it looks like I’m all set.
Thanks so much for your support!
One more question:
I am using GeoDirectory and it too has a “Favorites” button that’s outside of BuddyPress. How can we change BuddyPress’ “Favorite/Remove Favorite” to “Like/Unlike”?
toneeeParticipantThanks for the prompt reply. I did a ThemeForest auto-update to the newest BuddyApp version 1.5 but this did not help. I am still using the previous child theme file.
Admin credentials are privately listed in this thread.
Thanks!
toneeeParticipantUpdate: The bug is definitely theme related because the BuddyPress favorites works just fine when we switched to the default TwentySeventeen theme included in WordPress. The favorite persists when leaving the activity stream and returning.

I deactivated every single plugin (28 total) and it still doesn’t work. Laura, I provided credentials earlier for your review.
This is a fairly new installation, but I checked anyway:
- BuddyAppVersion: 1.4 (Using child theme)
- WordPress version 4.7.5–en
This is an urgent matter for us. Thank you.

Thanks so much!

The illustrated is the “Friends” BuddyPress page, but still contains the user’s profile picture and cover picture. That’s a waste of space and that section only needs to be visible when the user selects their Profile.

The BuddyPress Menu Type wasn’t visible in Appearances > Menu. To turn it on, I had to select Screen Options in the upper-right corner of the page and an entire set of checkboxes slide out. The BuddyPress checkbox must be selected and it will magically appear under Pages and along with the others (i.e. Posts, Custom Links, etc.). From there, you may gleefully add the BuddyPress links you want and voila!
This can be marked as resolved! lol

What I discovered was that I didn’t actually have a menu called “Right Header Menu” and none of the three menus in the system were assigned to that menu either. I created a new menu and assigned it to the Right Header Menu as you suggested. It worked perfectly!
There’s only one problem: some of the default items use virtual links that aren’t real pages. My first thought was to use WordPress’ trusty Custom Links option; however, that won’t work because the virtual URL incorporates the BuddyPress member’s username. For example, http://mydomain.com/members/my-username/profile/. The Custom Links option will go to any link you want, but that link changes for every user.
How did you address that?
