Hi @laura Thanks!It wasn’t but the page just showed all of sudden.

A few things I still noticed, was at the top of the “about us” page the social media icons are not showing, and wondering why the video header doesn’t show on mobile devices such as the iPhone.

Also, I noticed that when I go to write a “media” post with a video or photo slide, it’s not showing correctly on the site. Please see the attachments. Can you have a look at this please?

@laura is it also possible for me to have a duplicate, site wide activity page, that only shows when users upload audio and only exclusively to that page,

The other site wide activity page (beatfeed) will just be post and photos and not effect the other page.

So I want 2 site wide activity pages with different activity.

One with posts, photos, etc
the other with just audio.

Hello,

I check the content of the “about us” page and everything looks fine. Never made any changes just after I upgraded it was gone. Is there another place I should look in perhaps the FTP?

For the homepage I even deleted everything, rebuilt the page and the white space was still there. Do you know where I can find the bottom padding options to apply the edit?

For the activity, I looked at previous notes and was able to fix it. But I also wanted to duplicate the activity page, and create a 2nd activity page. I saw you can do this in VC, but it post the same updates in both sections. I want both sections separated.

Is there a way to make one activity section just posts, like photos, text, updates, etc from users, and the other activity section to be just audio and video updates from users, so basically it will be 2 different activities going on in the site.

@andrei I upgraded WP and I upgraded Kleo to 3.0.9 The log in now works on the home page which I am very Thankful for!

But Some of my changes aren’t showing now.

1. The activity shows when users update their profile, and I had this hidden with I believe this code that I have in the Quick css:

.buddypress div#item-header div#item-header-content span.activity {
margin-left: 10px;
color: rgb(187, 187, 201);
display: none;
}

And My photos heads are being cut off again in my screen shot. How can I get these changes back with the update?

@andrei I have been working on the child theme which you recommended, I have to also upgrade WP. So I don’t experience any issues, would you recommend upgrading WP and then Kleo 3.0.9 or vice versa.

Also I notice that when users are logged in and enlarge photos on the iPhone, or try to post photos/audio in the activity on a mobile device it automatically shuts the screen down and logs them off, even when logged in to remember the log in credentials. Will this also be fixed with the upgrade?

@andrei You keep saying to upgrade but I still see people are having the same issues, furthermore it seems there were glitches in the new versions so I stayed away from the upgrade until everything is fixed. Yes, I am on an older Kleo version, but I see users with 3.07 having the same issue when I was told to upgrade to 3.06. So that obviously would not work.

I’m starting to wonder are you able to fix this issue? Its been a few months now, I sent my credentials, can you just go into the backend in the FTP account and apply the fix?

@andrei If you go to my home page http://www.beatgrade.com and hover over the “Sign Up” tab and then “log in” button will appear. When you try to log in with username and password, the wheel spins and nothing happens.

I’ve even had professional coders look at this, and they said whoever built the theme needs to fix this. If you need credentials let me know. I’m getting more users and would like to get this issue resolved.

Can you please tell me how to get rid of the members count on site wide activity?

And in another post, which is a bigger issue, I asked a question 2 weeks ago and never got an answer about the sign in for “non-facebook” users. It just sits on the spinning wheel for hours doing nothing.

It doesn’t log you in from the home page. I Would really like to get that solved. I have a few users who don’t use Facebook, and can’t log in through the home page or log in with the pop up screen. Please see my screen shots.

When I click on a users media the photos and audio are all on top of each other. It looks really bad! Can you please help me to get rid of the media tab. This would be my first choice,

or send a code to fix it so it does not show like this,

and when a user uploads to media, it will “ALSO” show in the site wide activity.

Sure, I’ve attached a screen shot, I saw it in another post awhile back about removing tabs.

It would resolve a lot of issues because its all cluttered over each other when you are viewing all, and users upload to media and it doesn’t show in site wide activity.

Or even just to hide it.

It doesn’t seem to be working, maybe I need to give you editor access, so you can see notification and fix these things. Also speaking of activity, I notice a bigger issue.

When users are uploading from the “media” tab on their profile, it doesn’t show in the activity.

I would like for the media that users upload to also show in the site wide activity automatically.

Plus the media displays mp3’s and photos all over the place, I have the page set on 3 columns, and the photos are in different columns, please see screen the shot and let me know how I should fix this.

Yes, Thank you! That header looks, cool, only the notifications tab doesn’t change in the drop down. Anyway of making that transparent as well?

So the code for the header is working but not for members in Quick Css. I would like the members count in the activity to be taken out as well.

Also not sure if I was in the right place for removing members count, but I went through my dashboard and went to page>members and did not see the shortcode, should I be in “file manager” looking for the php file?

In my activity, one of my users uploaded audio with rt media, its not showing in my Site Wide Activity, I changed it to only show activity updates, and not new registrations, but it should show rt media updates because I logged in as a user and it was fine for me.

I Looked in the dashboard under activity, and I saw others were cleared by Akismet, and this users post was not. So is this a settings thing, did not see in the settings how to automatically clear comments, post updates, etc, or does a code need to be applied to make sure users post show up in site wide activity.

But the audio update does show in the media tab on the users profile like in screen shot 1, but not in the activity or in the activity on their profile, so not sure why this is.

No that didn’t work. Can you please look at my screen shots below, screen shot 1 is the way I want the header to look on every page.

That code made the header bigger, and gray and the drop down menu not transparent.

I would like the header “black” transparent, and the drop down menu transparent as well, like screen shot 1.

Hello @Andrei any word on this? Its been 4 days, the login pop up is not working for people that register “without” Facebook. My sites live now so just try to sign in on the “sign in” button on home page or log in on the drop down menu, and nothing happens. Be great if you could tell me a fix for it as it only happens on the sign in pop up.

Also, I said this in another post that you were in, but I’m having trouble making my other pages header black “transparent” (like my home page)

Any codes or suggestions for that? I’ve tried the header style options over and over again. Is there a way to have every page on my site look like my home pages header?

I saw this post and its similar to my issue, I’ve tried to adjust the header in style options and no changes, Its correct on my home page, but not on others. I’m trying to make the header transparent, tried trouble shooting many different options.

Screen shot where you can read selected “transparent” is what I want, but I keep getting the 2nd screen shot on other pages. Its only working on home page.

I’m looking now in buddypress settings, the only thing I see is : Enable BuddyPress to WordPress profile syncing, should I uncheck that?

I don’t seem to see a section in settings thats about activation email. In general settings, it has my email, but thats just for notifications, not the email thats sent to new users.

@andrei Also regarding login, is there a way to have it so when a user logs in it doesn’t direct you to the wordpress WPlogin, or log subscribers to the dashboard, I want them to go back to the page they were on. I’m using a plugin, but it only does half of what I want.

I’ve noticed the same issue and I see this post was from a few months ago, so it doesn’t seem to have been updated. When I log in with “my account” tab, it sits on the “Sending information, please wait…” and does nothing. When I log in from within the site, like activity stream, it works fine. So it seems there is another issue here than just the cache.

Also I notice the “my account” tab does not let you log in on an iPhone in other pages, only on home page. I’ve attached a screen shot below. Can someone please advise?

Just one other questions about registering. When I registered as a user, I’m sent a generic wordpress@mysite email, (can I change this to be my website email instead) to activate my account. You click the link in the email it opens a page to tell you, you are successfull in activating your account.

Now on that page there is a link that takes you to my WP login page, and logs the user into the backend on wordpress dashboard. Can that link be modified to take the user back to home page?

@Laura, Thanks so much for this help, I almost got it!

The only thing is this code got rid of everything, including post from users. I even logged in as a different user, created a post, and it disappeared when I refreshed the page, saying “sorry no activity found”.

I’m also running a plugin “rate widget” and that disappears with that code as well. The code I’m using that works with my plugin is:
<?php if ( bp_has_activities( bp_ajax_querystring( ‘activity’ ) . friends_and_me) ) : ?>

Is there a way to alter this code just so it removes new registered members, and friend to friend/group updates, and just keep activity updates from me and users, while still working with my plugin?
