ParticipantHi Abe,
The file with a change is general-register-modal.php from which I removed “<div class=”six columns”>
<input type=”text” id=”fullname” name=”field_1″ class=”inputbox” required placeholder=”<?php _e(“Your full name”, ‘kleo_framework’);?/>”>
</div>”The child theme is active.
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Abe,
The modified theme file is copied in the child theme folder but it does not work. It only works when the change is done in the parent theme file.
Thanks,
Catherinecatwin
ParticipantHello,
When we updated the theme and the change to the pop-up form was lost and now we’ve added a copy of modified general-register-modal.php file to the child theme (so that the update do not overwrite your change anymore). Unfortunately your edited file does not load (overwrite the parent file).
Do you have another piece of “action call” code that we have to add to the file?
Thank you!

ParticipantHello,
I generated an API key from my themeforest account and added it and my user name to miscellaneous after reading this post but the dashboard is not prompting me for an update?
Am I missing something?
Thanks!

ParticipantHello,
I saw another thread that addressed the junk mail problem. I installed Easy wp SMTP and hope it will solve that problem. Could be first problem be related?
Thank you!

ParticipantMy apologies, I just saw another thread with a recommended plugin. Will try Easy wp SMTP. Hopefully it will fix the problem.
Thank you.

ParticipantHi Robert,
I seem to be having the same problem. I thought it was solved by using BP Disable Activation Reloaded but now I am seeing that a new user has signed up but is not automatically being assigned participant role probably because they can’t login.
Could you also recommend a plugin that sends mail through a smtp host that works well with the theme please?
Thank you!

ParticipantHello again,
The code enables the rev slider on mobile but it’s only showing a portion of my images. They’re all cropped. Any ideas?
Thank again!

ParticipantSorry Abe! My bad, it’s working perfectly now!
You guys rock!
Thanks again and have a great weekend!!!

ParticipantThanks Abe,
That removed it as a required field but the field is still showing up when you click on sign up. Is there any way to hide that field? The problem is, if people choose to enter their full name it automatically populates in the profile name field.
I appreciate all of your help!

ParticipantThank you Abe. You have been a great help. I’m starting to get the hang of this. 🙂

ParticipantThanks Abe!
That worked perfectly.
Is there a way to do that horizontally with the create an account form as well?
Have a nice day!

ParticipantThanks for all of your help!
I have updated the theme and added the code but had to have someone help me so that the image would show below the top menu. She added a 100px border at the top to .my-bg class but it cuts in the picture. Do you know of a better solution than adding a top border so as to set background image/slideshow to display below the top menu or how to add a background colour to the menu row?
Thanks again!

ParticipantPS. I know how to do back ups but does it restore everything into the right place if it’s a different child theme?

ParticipantHello again,
Sorry to bother but in updates in wp it says that all my themes are updated but when I go to sweetdate/theme information it is still showing as 2.3. Is there an extra step that I’m missing?
This could be the problem or I may need more baby steps since I can’t find out how to get to here: /wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/header.php to add your suggestions.
Sincere thanks,
Catherinecatwin
ParticipantThank you Robert!
Before I attempt this may I ask if the change will also apply to images if I use the rev slider instead?
Thank you for your patience – I am so new to this. 🙂

ParticipantI also forgot to mention that I have tried aligning using all the different settings for image on sweetdate/homepage.
Thanks again.

ParticipantHi Errol,
My apologies for the delay in my response! I changed it under users/profile fields and selected checkboxes instead of radio buttons. Hope this helps and good luck with your site!
Thank you as well Abe for the clarification – I’m very new to this. 🙂
