In case anyone is still having this issue on WP Engine after this fix we found we had to disable the following in Buddypress:
goto Settings -> Buddypress
on the Options tab
disable “Activity auto-refresh”contemplateParticipantI disabled rtMedia on my client’s live site to get background videos working again.
Basically add a VC Row module to a page and use the Text & Background tab to add a background video. Make sure the latest rtMedia is installed. The video will show for a second and then go blank with the words “Video Player”.
contemplateParticipantScratch that I found the issue. … Problem solved. I installed the Popup Maker plugin which overwrites the Kleo meenu custom settings. I deactivated it and the settings returned. Is it possible in future releases to not have these conflict?
contemplateParticipant@radu any update on this? Or if it’s patched on github or something I can apply it myself if you point me in the right direction.
contemplateParticipantSure thing.

We monitor activity by New Relic and it was reporting a massive resource use by marketplace.envato.com. I’ve commented out the line you suggest and I can get the admin pages to load now.
Will this disable the upload feature for the theme?

🙁
contemplateParticipantYeah it’s really odd. Tried emoticons and links but it still works for me after that. This is driving me crazy 🙁
contemplateParticipantWeird. I see they are working in the Hidden Group. But when I try to reply in the “Open Forum” public group it’s a no go. hmmm.
contemplateParticipantI haven’t had a chance to touch it… conference call. Is it working for you? Where?
I’m still getting the JS errors and no Reply on activity.
contemplateParticipantAre these two different issues potentially. Will adding those JS scripts properly fix the Reply issue?
I tried adding the enqueued scripts to the footer but no dice. Not sure how to load them after BP loads? I assumed that if the bp_is_group() is working the Buddypress is loaded.
contemplateParticipantChanged priority to 400 and that didn’t do anything. Same JS errors. Site is super slow even though I have it on a SSD VPS with plenty of RAM and space… could that be affecting the issues here?

June 17, 2015 at 17:09 in reply to: k-Elements & VC Ultimate Addons conflict and performance issues #63492contemplateParticipantAs far as the conflict I was able to fix it with the help of the Devs at Ultimate Addons for VC:
Here is the solution for the error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘left’ of undefined
If you see this error in browser console, it is generally due to your theme that has modified Row Structure of Visual Composer plugin.
How to resolve this?
GoTo – yourdomain.com /wp-admin/admin.php?page=ultimate-dashboard&author#ultimate-debug
Turn ON the Theme Support SwitchAnd the issue will be resolved.
See one minute video tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bf2QGCfwSbYAs far as performance I’m still at a loss!
We have a good sized VPS with plenty of RAM and SSD drive and I’ve done the following:
– Reduced Heartbeat API to backend post editing using the Heartbeat API plugin
– Tried to remove Woocommerce scripts https://wordimpress.com/how-to-load-woocommerce-scripts-and-styles-only-in-shop/ (used the updates in the comments for the new versions of Woocommerce)
– Installed the “Remove query strings from static resources” plugin
– Installed an image optimizer plugin Smushit & ImSanity
– Turned off all post, portfolio, product animations on load
– I’m using w3 Total Cache Object Caching with memcached
– In theme options disabled buddypress: Live Notifications intervalStill the site is totaly slow. Only our homepage has large images and the rest of the site is minimal yet the backend and frontend are dead slow.
The W3 Total Cache link you pasted is broken. However I’m wondering if the object caching is hurting me.
June 16, 2015 at 23:23 in reply to: k-Elements & VC Ultimate Addons conflict and performance issues #63273contemplateParticipantI’m still having the issue with the VC Ultimate Addons js conflict.
But the performance issue seems to be more related to plugins using admin-ajax.php. I’ve turned off heartbeat and it’s still slow.
June 16, 2015 at 19:30 in reply to: k-Elements & VC Ultimate Addons conflict and performance issues #63228contemplateParticipantThis reply has been set as private.contemplateParticipantOK so most likely I was just testing the custom function wrong. All plugins are enabled & all functions re-enabled and the custom function works. So maybe it is a Kleo conflict.
FTP to follow.
contemplateParticipantah yes! Sorry I didn’t ready careful enough. Do you want me to continue to enable plugins? Or are you still working on it? Thanks for your help!
contemplateParticipantOk it seems to be partially working in not letting me open a member’s profile. But I can still get into the members directory, group directory, individual groups, etc..
contemplateParticipantOk I’ve updated VC. I then disabled everything except Buddypress & PMPro. I commented out all the functions except the one above. I cleared all caches. I re-saved Theme Options. I tried a different browser. Still no difference ?!? I’m totally at a loss here.
If you want to check it out I’ll keep it all disabled for the next 10 minutes.
contemplateParticipantThanks for the code. So I turned off the restrictions in Theme Options -> Memberships. I inserted the code into functions.php and changed the level to “2” which should be the only level which has access. I also disabled the PMPro Registration Helper and cleared caches. It still didn’t work 🙁
It’s odd because regular page restrictions are working fine. It’s just the BuddyPress directories aren’t being restricted. Logins are the same. Thanks for any help in looking into this.
contemplateParticipantThanks for the tip about BP Like.
So I commented out all my custom functions. Disabled all the plugins except for PMPro & BuddyPress. I cleared the Object Cache. But it’s still doing the same thing 🙁
contemplateParticipantThanks I’ll look into the BP Like jquery issue.
But I’m still seeing the warnings in Chrome on the Membership checkout page:
https://theinfluencenetwork.com/membership-account/membership-checkout/?level=1Attachments:
You must be logged in to view attached files.contemplateParticipantThank you! It’s more the customers don’t feel secure when the browser warns them and that hurt business.
Would there be anyway in the meantime to not load the ajax search and modal login code on SSL pages?
contemplateParticipantSorry I wasn’t clear enough. the login and ajax search aren’t loading as https:// on the SSL pages so in certain browsers it gives users a warning.
For the classes page add one to the cart and then go to checkout to turn the SSL on. Or use the link to the Membership checkout.
If you’re in Chrome and Inspect Element then go to Console you’ll see 2 mixed content warnings that the modal login & ajax search aren’t loading over https.
Hope that helps.
