Okay I tried this plugin but is messes up the activation emails and gives an error message to people trying to sign up to my sight any other way I could fix the issue above? Thanks Radu for your help and time.

I contacted my hosting company…bluehost and this is what they said:

(0:21) [Melissa] Looking into it a bit it seems that the plugin is trying to use SSLv3 which is disabled on the server for security reasons. That needs to be addressed through the plugin and they need to not use SSLv3 because it is a major security vulnerability to have it enabled

okay…so I was able to put in the search bar… http://www.ibssingles.com/wp-admin and it let me into the dashboard…yes, i had issues with w3cache last time but when i looked…zencache was active, so I deactivated it and now it lets me log in as normal..

I know that cache is suppose to speed up the site but zencache and w3cache both mess my site up any other cache systems you recommend

it has now been two hours and it’s still not allow me to access the login

i’m going through what you sent..but I can’t even log into my site to do anything because it just keeps saying “sending info, please wait” so it won’t even log in…..as of right now, it’s been 45 minutes and still the little icon just goes around and around..

I think website speed it good now, but this seems to be a completely different issue as it’s not allowing anyone to log in to the site

Questions:

It says to add the code to my .htaccess…but where exactly do I add it? at the beginning or end etc?

Hi Laura, I haven’t made any changes to the site since you were able to help speed it up but now no one can log in..it’s just stuck on “sending info”

Any other ideas on how to speed up my site? when i run a gtmetrix.com speed test it shows several things that I have an “f” grade for…how much would 7th Queen charge me to fix these and make the site as fast as possible? Here’s what gtmetrix.com says:

I had to disable the entire plugin and now it works correctly……but wasn’t the plugin what helped it speed up?

ALSO…when it does the same thing when i try to log in with my administrator information and I have to go through the same process as above BUT I can’t access the dashboard anymore…what do i do?

i just tried to login with my user name and password…when i hit the “login” button it disappears like nothing happened, so I tried it again…this time it says I’m already logged in and to hit the refresh button…when I do then it logs me in….i’ve also deactivated membership pro

I fixed post #104598 above….I just had to change the access level on the admin side.

ALSO, i just changed my password so I could log in and it let me, but when it logged me in, it takes me to the membership page…which i had deleted off the site with a link to click and go to the home screen, but when I click the link it automatically logs me out

also, my brother aaron morris has an account on my site….when i try to sign in under a my personal account

it says my password is wrong, but I know it’s right….then my brother was able to successfully login under my account on his computer, but when I tried it again, after clearing my cache cookies etc…it still says I have the wrong password, eventhough my brother aaron used to same one…

from the profile page when you click on home it takes to main page but it logs you out and says to log in again…but if you hit the refresh button it automatically logs you in…

when you go to log back in, it says you are already logged in and to refresh the page…

Ok…the site is faster so thank you, but now almost everything you click on takes me to the membership level page…if you click on aaron morris profile, quick search, activity, groups, etc…

when i click on my profile it pulls it up…but when i click on anyone elses profile it takes me to a membership page, which i actually deleted off the site so I don’t know how it even pulls it up

i went to sweetdate, then buddypress and only see where to add text for before Main form and horizontal form. I currently have text in main form but it’s not what is in the sign up box..

I was able to generate a new password for Katie and send it to her from our company support email…but no one is getting their confirmation or password reset emails

I REALLY need your help on this…I have a new user trying to sign up and they are not receiving their email to confirm memberships..

quick question….i can go to “activity” on the website and it shows several people that became “registered” members…..when i click on their name it pulls up their profile… but if i go to search for members the profiles do not show up…

so is the reason for this because they have to login in order to show up?

I would still like the answers to the questions above but what I have done is delete the memberships section all together at this point, so that members will not get confused.

But I still do not know why they are not showing up when you go to search for members….as the backend shows seventeen or so, but when you actually search it only shows about 9

ALSO….when i go on the Admin section and check out one of the users that didnt sign up through the “FREE Membership for a limited time” I can edit their information…..when I do this I want to change their level from “none” to “FREE”

then underneath it says this “This will not change the subscription at the gateway unless the ‘Cancel’ checkbox is selected below.”

What does that mean?

I think I have figured it out….when someone signs up on the home page under the the sign up button and under the register box on the homepage it allows someone to go ahead and sign up….I need both buttons to go to membership page where they can select a membership level…

but I dont want them to have to input that information in two times…so what options do i have?

Thank you. One thing I do like is having the little section on the top right corner where someone can easily access and view everything on the website….but when i disable the toolbar it goes away…

Is there a way to add that piece back to the top but not give access to the dashboard?

Okay..I fixed the issue with the slider BUT for some reason, some of the pictures are not showing up..it just shows a little pic icon…if you look under “community” then “activity” and scroll down the page you will see the issue…

I went to memberships then page settings and I actually do not have anything in any of them…they all have the “choose one” option.
