Of course I did resolve it! I had to find a way on my own, as I can not have a clients page being offline for 3 DAYS!!!
This was definitely the last page that I installed KLEO on! Never had one installation where just the simplest things worked smoothly! It’s great to read the marketing text about what the theme can do and which awesome feature it has. But once you install it, you find out that the basics are not working properly as they should.
Very disappointed!mcsinnParticipantGuys, I need help urgently! The clients blogpage and all of his category pages are offline since 2 days due the the issue with KLEO. Please look into it and provide me with a solution.
Thanks,
MichaelmcsinnParticipantHi Laura,
sorry, but that did not help. Some problem as before!
Any other suggestions?
Cheers,
MichaelmcsinnParticipantDoes this mean, that you tried it on my site or on your end? If you tried it on one of your installations that will not be way to solve my issue, right?
Btw, I do not get, what the thing with the test.php should get me as an answer? I am not a php guru, so please tell me exactly, what I would have to do. Otherwise tips like that don’t help!
mcsinnParticipantHi Andrei,
and thanks for coming back. The column issues has now been fixed by the update. So that’s done!
Regarding the fields I asked my hosting provider to change the setting to 5000. Therefor he inserted this setting in the htaccess and told me that it should work.
I tried to change the socket text, but it still does not work. I event tried to deactivate Visual composer (as this sometimes blocks other plugins and settings), but this did not help either.
So, what/shall I do to fix this?
mcsinnParticipantHi Andrei,
I just wanted to let you know that I was the one writing this question. And I just can say, your fix doesn’t work!
What about my second question regarding the socket? I am not able to change anything in there, as anytime I save the settings, the changes are overwritten with the old status. Should I open a new thread for this or can you answer this question here?
Regards,
mcsinnParticipantOkay, sounds great. Maybe this “higher level” will be able to solve another problem that I acutally having. It is not possible to change the socket text. I can change it, but when I save, the changes are gone.
Desperately waiting to hear from you!
mcsinnParticipantHello!!! Is there anybody out there? Will anybody get back to me and help in that case?

November 24, 2015 at 11:00 in reply to: Kleo recent posts widget & Kleo post carousel – language issue #88747mcsinnParticipantNo, I don’t understand that! If it takes you 7 days to get the chance to look into an issue, that’s not really what a good support looks like. Neither the response time nore the response quality is near to being okay.
mcsinnParticipantNo it is not working. I choose the top menu and it is not there. When I choose to place it in my main menu, it works, but not in the way it should. It shows up as a horizontal list instead of a dropdown menu. But as I do not want it in the main menu, that is not the issue. The main issue is, that it is still not showing up in the top right corner.
November 23, 2015 at 20:28 in reply to: Kleo recent posts widget & Kleo post carousel – language issue #88675mcsinnParticipantOkay, and what does this mean for me now? I have not heard back from the “higher support level” since more than 2 days?
November 20, 2015 at 09:37 in reply to: Kleo recent posts widget & Kleo post carousel – language issue #88261mcsinnParticipantOh sorry Laura! You did not understand, what the problem is in that case.
The problem is not, that I do not have a language switcher, the problem is, that the blog posts show up in the wrong language, which is an issue within the widgets itself. When I use the standard wordpress widget for “latest posts” it works.
To make the issue clear again I will try to explain it once again. When I am on my german language homepage, the widget with the “recent posts” (which is located in 4th of the footer) should only show german blog posts, right? But it doesn’t. It also shows the english blog post! But it shouldn’t! When I click on Blog – bringing me to the main page of the german blog – everything is fine. Only the german posts are shown. So, the problem is within the “Kleo recent posts” widget! And the same issue is true for the “Kleo post caroussel”.
How can I fix that???
November 20, 2015 at 09:30 in reply to: Kleo recent posts widget & Kleo post carousel – language issue #88260mcsinnParticipantThanks Laura, but I do not want to install more plugins – I want the theme to work how it should!
mcsinnParticipantHi, I have the same problem with the language switcher suddenly disappearing after a Kleo Update. It used to be in the Top Menu position, but now it’s gone. For example on http://mcprezi.com/blog/
mcsinnParticipantHi,
I have the same issue on one of my clients sites. I will post the url in a private post and would need urgent help on this!
Regards,
MichaelmcsinnParticipantThanks! That worked!
I hope the Quick CSS will not be overriden by future updates.
April 20, 2015 at 10:31 in reply to: Custom Portfolio page as parent page – child pages create 404 error #55218mcsinnParticipantHi Abe,
unfortunately they do not work as expected, as I can not make the pages child pages of the Portfolio main page. But the dirty workaround is to set up pages without making them childpages. So, in the breadcrumbs section those pages are just normal pages but not seen as “portfolio” pages.
Regards,
MichaelApril 9, 2015 at 16:57 in reply to: Custom Portfolio page as parent page – child pages create 404 error #53781mcsinnParticipantThanks, but I already knew, that I can make pages that work, when I do not make them child pages.
But what would be the way if I did it with portfolio post types? Which links would I have to use then?
I tried to use the slug of the portfolio categories, but they do not work.April 9, 2015 at 16:21 in reply to: Custom Portfolio page as parent page – child pages create 404 error #53774mcsinnParticipantOkay, thanks for taking care.
Well, I would like to create a submenu for subpages, that only show the content of one portfolio category. Therefore I thought of creating a page for each of them.
Is there another way of doing this with portfolio post types?
April 9, 2015 at 15:27 in reply to: Custom Portfolio page as parent page – child pages create 404 error #53768mcsinnParticipantThis reply has been set as private.April 9, 2015 at 14:49 in reply to: Custom Portfolio page as parent page – child pages create 404 error #53763mcsinnParticipantYes I did that more than once! Did not help in any way.
Do you want to take a look at it yourself?
