ParticipantThanks Radu. The same is true with the store, so it runs across the Kleo sections. So the Home > Health breadcrumb is the same for both the Store and GeoDir health sections. So, do I need to check with WooCommerce as well for their breadcrumb? There is no way to adjust on Kleo?

ParticipantHi Radu –
Thank you very much for troubleshooting this. That solution did not work, at least the way I may have understood it. I added several paragraph returns in the header and footer and republished but the 11 is still there.
In the meantime, I did figure out the following:
– “Test” was actually typed into the header field. Once deleted, that removed the text. Huh, so easy once you know where to look…
– “11” is somehow generated by the WooZone plugin, which is what I have been testing to upload my Amazon affiliate products. I have put a ticket in to the WooZone support to see if they can figure it out. When I deactivate the plugin, the “11” goes away.April 7, 2017 at 20:11 in reply to: How create overall site breadcrumb that includes all page levels – issue with Home #157935palicali

ParticipantThank you Radu, regarding slider/CSS advice.
Also, we think we found the issue with “11” and “test” appearing at the top of the header – apparently it was output from a formula, not actual hard coded text. Still investigating but I will close that issue here.

ParticipantHi Laura – My developer just found and fixed it yesterday. It is not actually hard coded text of “11” and “test” but rather output from a formula. I am still getting details. But we can close this ticket here. Thanks you so much for trying to find it Laura.
April 5, 2017 at 08:19 in reply to: How create overall site breadcrumb that includes all page levels – issue with Home #157645palicali
ParticipantHi Laura – The issue I am having is that the breadcrumb goes directly from Home to a Child Page and it skips the Parent page.
For example:
I would like this to be the breadcrumb: Home > Directory >> Health >>> ABC Health Provider
What shows instead is: Home >> Health >>> ABC Health Provider. It is missing the Directory page.If the user clicks on Home, hoping to go back to the Directory homepage, instead they go to the homepage for the entire site. The Directory page does not appear in the breadcrumb at all.
Since the Shop also has a Health section, the breadcrumb there is exactly the same: Home >> Health. It skips the Shop parent page.
I think this may be a Kleo quirk…? Possibly because Kleo sees each of these Parent pages as potential “home” pages. How do I get around this? I have never seen this type of breadcrumb behavior before.
Thank you!

ParticipantHi Laura –
Very interesting, you have uncovered another part of the puzzle. Your login does not show it, but mine does and my developer’s does. It also does not display when logged out and coming soon off, but users will have to log in when using the site.
Attached is an image.
Any page will show it, but here is a link:
https://republicofgreen.com/location/united-states/california/palo-alto/Here is login for you that will show it:

March 29, 2017 at 06:56 in reply to: GeoDirectory Location Bar messes up Revolution Slider layers layout #157032palicali
ParticipantHi Radu –
The words “11” and “test” are still appearing in the header in the top left. See attached. These can be seen when logged in and coming soon is enabled, but I believe they disappear when logged out and coming soon disabled. Here is a link where you can see the “11” and “test” words:
https://republicofgreen.com/location/united-states/california/palo-alto/FYI, I believe the “11” had appeared before you logged into the site, but the word “test” appeared about the same time that you first logged into the site. We can’t figure out how to delete them.
As for the search bar sliding down below the image, I will need to ask my developer to put the search bar back on top of the slider image (right now we put it below the image) so that I can show you. Basically, the GD auto-detects the user’s location when on the GD landing page, which then makes a fairly tall location breadcrumb bar appear above the slider. This then pushes the search bar off of the center of the slider image and puts it below the slider image.
March 27, 2017 at 21:43 in reply to: GeoDirectory Location Bar messes up Revolution Slider layers layout #156856palicali
ParticipantThanks Radu for the info.
Two follow up questions:1) Did you add the text “test” to the header? See it is now appearing on the top left of the header and I don’t know how to get rid of it. I also can’t get rid of the text “11” in the header. Can you please help? My developer is trying to find this and he cannot find it either.
2) My question was that the layers on the Rev Slider do not stay together – I can put the search bar on top of the image just fine, it is that when the location bar appears below the top nav and the slider, it pushes the slider down and it pushes the search bar layer down even further, to below the image. So the two layers are not staying together. Maybe this is a question for Rev Slider people?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi Radu –
I will try the CSS later today. I had some questions about it:
1) Is there some text I can add above and below the CSS that is not code but just shows the section beginning and end in case I want to remove it later? Something like ~~~ START: CODE FOR SECONDARY MENU ~~~~ and ~~~ END: CODE FOR SECONDARY MENU ~~~~
2) I think what I am looking for is page-specific secondary menus. I am using all of your modules – BuddyPress, GeoDirectory, Magazine, Sensei, WooCommerce – and am thinking that I need different secondary menus for several of these. For example, for Magazine I would like a secondary menu that shows news topic categories. For WooCommerce, I would like a secondary menu that shows product categories. For Sensei, I would like a secondary menu that shows course topic categories.
Will the CSS you provided help with this? Or, should I try a plugin like:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/page-specific-menu-items/Thank you Radu!!

ParticipantBasically, I am using all elements of Kleo: social network, directory, magazine, and eLearning and am trying to figure out how to make side bars coordinate with each section. The solution above works on pages and posts, but is there a solution for Archive pages that fall into different section categories (e.g., magazine vs eLearning). Sorry, I’ve asked the same question three ways now, just wanted to make sure i was being clear.

ParticipantI am focused on other parts of website development right now, but when I get back to this, I will let you know if it works. For now, ticket can be closed. Thanks.

December 30, 2016 at 19:00 in reply to: How create, edit, and add elements to a new Sidebar? #148363palicali
ParticipantSo, to make the follow up question more clear:
– Is there a way to apply the sidebar to individual category archive pages and not others?
– If not, then do I need to create a regular page for my category archive and put a post element on it with the category of post and then put the sidebar on that page? Thanks!
December 30, 2016 at 18:57 in reply to: Home Default page shows main nav whited out, though text coded for gray #148362palicali
ParticipantThank you Laura. I tried that and it’s not working… Could you please take a look?
The homepage shows white menu text which is fine.
I want all other pages to show black (default dark gray) menu text.It is coded for #444444 in the theme options header text, and appears to be correct on my individual pages.

ParticipantHi –
I don’t know what changed, but now the homepage main menu text is showing in white (which is fine) but it is also showing as white on all the other pages in the website, which is not good because then it is invisible. How do I code the main menu and top menu to be black for all the other pages in the site? Please give specific instructions as I have already spent at least an hour trying everything and obviously must be missing something… Thank you!
December 30, 2016 at 08:47 in reply to: How create, edit, and add elements to a new Sidebar? #148342palicali
ParticipantYes, it now appears on that post perfectly. Thanks!
Follow up question: I have a blog section with generic posts and an eLearning section with instructional posts. I want to show my new sidebar on the eLearning posts but not on the regular posts. That is happening fine. However, I also want the new sidebar to show on the Category Archives page for the eLearning posts as well. Is that possible, to code the new sidebar to appear only on certain Archive pages?
I’m not sure I am setting up the eLearning properly. I am just creating posts – is that correct? Or is there a different template?

ParticipantFor some reason, it started working, with thumbnails now showing automatically. So, this is resolved.

email: support-site@seventhqueen.comHere are some example umbrella groups with subgroups: The top levels could be “umbrella names only” or they could be actual broader groups with members – whatever will work. For example, if someone wanted to be in an overall “Renewable Energy” group, if the top Level 1 is just a name, then there could be a subgroup Level 2 called “All Renewable Energy.”

December 21, 2016 at 20:22 in reply to: Possible to organize Groups into categories? (for lots of groups) #147732palicali
ParticipantHi Laura – Thanks! That looks like it could be a good solution. Do you know if there is an example somewhere of what it looks like when it is done?
I’d like the Group Type Metabox to be a pretty box with photo/text name that is clickable and leads to a list of all the groups within the Group Type. A 10-square grid for main group types would be perfect.
I would love your help! Thanks for offering. I am not a developer, so while I can see the instructions at the link you sent, I don’t have any idea of where to plug in those codes or how to undo it if I mess things up. 🙂
Thanks!
December 21, 2016 at 18:12 in reply to: Possible to organize Groups into categories? (for lots of groups) #147697palicali
ParticipantSee MeetUp.com for example of what I mean. If it was possible to assign a category to a group when creating it, then it could be automatically displayed for that category of groups. Ideally, I’d like to do it just like MeetUp.com with boxes for each group, but another solution would be to add a category field to the grid that displays Most Popular groups, and then we could display the groups by category laid out in a grid. Maybe some of this is already possible and I just haven’t discovered it yet!
December 21, 2016 at 07:51 in reply to: How make secondary menu show up underneath main menu #147637palicali
ParticipantThank you very much Laura. I did just spend some time testing that out. When I put the posts inside each tab though (Kleo posts, by category, show All), they all display on the homepage and make it look messy…
What I really want is a secondary menu where each link goes to a category archive page – exactly like you have on your magazine demo main menu – so that someone can browse all the posts in that category. Is there some way to get the secondary menu to show up under the main menu instead of beside it? That way the secondary menu can stay constant at the top of the page, regardless of which category archive page someone is on. I’m really hoping it will be possible, as then it will look like a perfect magazine page!
Is there an element for category archive page? I see the category list, but not archive page…
Thank you!

ParticipantThank you Laura. What do you think about this plugin? This is more actively updated. Would this work and not cause problems? I realize you can’t guarantee anything about a third party plugin, but any thoughts you might have would be appreciated! 🙂
